This is our FIRST time!

This is our FIRST time getting an invite such as this! It's not an invite to some retro party ok, it's an invite to a WEDDING!
Hahahaha!!! To be honest, I dare not lor. I will not dare to take photos in something from this era.... I think I will look horrible. But Kit from BC has done not too bad a job for Eugene and Sam, judging from this picture.
I guess, it's gonna be a fun wedding. There will be a prize for the best dressed person somemore. Feels as though I'm gng for some kind of party rather than a wedding mass in church. Hahahaah...
Must salute E&S for having such an innovative way to celebrate their wedding.
Now, time to go and buy some retro outfits for this occassions! ;P

Ahh... Cool!

After setting up the study room, we decided that the room is in need of ventaliation. Not that there's no window but when we are working late into the night, like now, we cannot be possibly opening ALL the windows right?

Scully, some sudden people come up to our room and gave me a fright how? Or worse!!! Some insects or don't know what thing come in how? Me is super frightened lor.

We went to J8 for dinner not knowing where else to go and had KFC. *sinful*sinful* Walked into Best Denki. Saw the TEAC, it was on promotion lei. $299 instead of $399 and it IS the set that I've been eyeing for sometime. But hubby and me discussed and felt that it was not necessary so.. din get that even though there was a $100 discount. Looked at the pots and pans, nothing caught our eyes since we seldome cook. Then since we needed a fan, looked at it also. But still nothing though there were some that was on promotion. We walked around and actually did not manage to get anything at all. So disappointing.

Took a toilet break and along came a bright spark, dragged hubby into NESS coz I badly needed some clothes for work and also for CNY. Partly coz they were sporting a sale and I saw the 40%, 50% before anything. So needless to say, CANNOT miss it lor. Immediately, I already 2 skirts and a few tops that I wanna try.

After waiting for a good 20 mins for me to try and all, hubby realised that I am the proud owner of a pink skirt with box pleats and a black top.

I tried on more than 6 pieces, but well cutting and the size does not suit me after all. So end up, only have these 2.

Not quite ready to face CNY with these 2, I swear I WILL GO for more shopping trips within the next 2 months!!!! =P

We passed by the atria and saw that there were some household itmes on sale and we saw fans too. In need of one, we took second and third looks.
Finally, we got one.

To lugg it home on the bus... No joke! Heavy!!!

Though the blessed box says ">7Kg" but try lugging it from Level 2 of J8 to the bus interchange, to onto the bus, to down the bus, to up the stairs, (2 flights of them) and then into the house?! Wah lau...

Of course, hubby will be THE person doing the assembling. I've got other things to do... like, BLOGGING, taking Photos and updating lar!!!

Poor hubby had to to the lugging, so in order to prepare him for the long and tiring journey home... we (or rather I, decided to bring him for a treat to sweeten him up before doing any hard work!) went for a treat in Haagen Dazs. My second visit to their outlets. Coz I had a Citibank voucher so will go else, I hardly step foot into them. Too expensive I feel.

But it was nice. We had their new "Chocolate Journey" which is served with a tiny cup of hot Belgium Chocolate, 3 different flavours of chocolate ice cream! All things chocolately. I LIKE!!!! Hubby had a cup of Cappuccino. And we topped everything off with ice water. hahah. Nice place to sit and just relax. But must say hor, the hot belgium chocolate is abit disappointing. Tasted like milo with "nuah" (over soaked) chocolate biscuits bits.

Having had the treat, we headed home and met our poly friend on the bus. Chatted throughout the bus ride home... and the moment we reached home.. Blogging and msn-ing (of course include in bathing) is what I've been doing since that time.

P.s. Think my photo montash skills is getting better! hahaha.. darn proud!

Friday, December 29

Woo Hoo!!

Remember I was saying that we were waiting for Ikea to deliver our stuff? The original time was between 2pm-5pm. Surprisingly, they gave a call to hubby early this morning, (when were still IN bed) and said that the delivery will be made between 11am - 2pm!
Woah... much earlier lei. Lucky, we din go to watch the "golden flower" else sure miss the delivery! But then again, since they called us and advaned the delivery, we think it's also coz there isn't much people who bought bukly items and need delivery services. Who will at this time anyway... After Christmas and CNY is not for another 2 months and the sales for CNY has not even begun anyway.
After all the items were delivered, hubby and I set to work. NOT easy in asembling all these things lei! We worked non stop for at least 2 hours just on fixing the cupboards the table LEGS! We had to re-do the cupboards coz the measurement was slightly off.
We decided to try to buy an electric screwdriver or drill when we needed to fix the tables. There are 5 screws to each leg, making a grand total of 60 threadless nails to be screwed in! VERY hard work and we took a break here. Went to the coffee shop for lunch and also looked around for the equipment.
Too bad for hubby, we cannot find any. Poor hubby got to then manually screwed in each and every single nail.
Just after we got home, I got a surprise from Tri. She sent me a sms and within minutes of me replying her, she appeared with her newphew and neice just as I was opening the window! I saw the kids first and was like... these 2 kids very familiar, where have I seen them before and then I looked up and saw Tri! WAH! Got a shock! I never expect her to come with the 2 children.
She passed me my Christmas present and something she bought in KL for me. Very curious as to what it was, coz Tri's neice, Qian told me, "Ah Yee made it herself." My first thought was food... coz I know Tri likes to play around in the kitchen.
When I opened the present. Wah!! Touched lei!!!
She made a skirt JUST FOR ME, H-E-R-S-E-L-F! Immediately I tried the skirt on and showed it to hubby. He says nice! =) Will be sure to take a picture of it when I wear it the next time. And it fitted perfectly ok! Woah!!!
Black skirt for Christmas done by Tri, herself!
She got me this cute bear from KL.

Thank You so much, Tri!!! I like it very much. So touched. Also got a card. The words on the card warmed my heart lots too!

Back to the Ikea things (while I was enjoying my new presents, hubby was still hard at work...) finally after all those hours, Me, standing at the side and played with the legs and erm... gave encouragements to hubby while he continuing the fight with the screws... finally it's done!

Ta DAAAAA!!

I'm typing this virgin entry from my new study desk!

I'm occupying the left hand corner. Hubby will take the right hand corner. The big table in the middle is for both of us. At the moment the table looks neat and tidy. Not sure for how long, we can maintain it this way though. I seem to be having more space coz both our bicycles are at my corner, so had to give me more space if not, sure kena "JAMMED!". BTW, the 'scorpion' looking thing is the "power rider" that we had no place to house it. It is now relgated to under the table.

New bookcase!

And, our new bookcase. No covers to it, so it can get rather dusty. Plenty of cleaning to be done then.

Quite obvious which side of the bookcase is mine right?! I was telling hubby, maybe we should get a bean bag and throw it at where the excerise ball is. Makes quite a good and cozy reading corner doesn't it?

And for the record, ALL the furniture in this current room are furnised by Ikea! The 3 tables, the 2 bookcase, the 2 black chairs and even the drawer set!

Was joking with hubby, if we buy anymore, we can probably make this room into a show room for Ikea! hahahahaha

Quite happy with all these new things. Now, we have our desk and no longer need to hunch over the tablet when I'm using it anymore!!

Eagerly waiting...

Hubby and I are getting excited as the minutes ticked by...

Course... The Ikea things we paid and ordered will be here in another few hours time! We only paid for delivery and not the assembling part.

So after the grand delivery in a few hours, hubby and me will set to work in assembling the tables and cupboards.

I wanted to go and watch "Curse of the Golden Flower" earlier but the show was at 9.30pm and we cannot make it. Was thinking of going to watch the morning show tomorrow but it was at 11am and hubby says 50%, we cannot wake up, the next show is at 1.30pm and we cannot go coz we have to wait for delivery. So, likely, we will miss the show, since we want to be cheapskates and not pay for the full price. hahah... see how la.

Hubby says after the assembly, after clearing up the mess we created from the DIY, we shall sit down to work out our plans for next year. Things like, "where do we want to go next year", "our study plans", "financial plans" amongst other things.

But I'm super happy with the "where to go next year bit" hahaha..

I think Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea are all nice places to start off with! Especially HK in Aug! And this was exactally what I told hubby! His reply to my "HK in Aug"?

"Very happy hor, shopping in HK in Aug? U no need to study hor?" -_-"

=(

A day of Food.

Hubby and me was thinking of what and where to go to spend our day. And I suggested either East Coast or Vivo. I was kind of craving for the lazy afternoons spent in cozy cafes and I know that East Coast has a few of such cafes. Vivo, there's also Pacific Cafe that I can go for their chocolate paradise and just people watch.

Hubby picked Vivo since it looked to be a rainy day. And then with a stroke of ingenuity, I suggested lunch at "Superdog". I saw it last Friday when I went there for lunch with Trina but since I abstain from meat on Fridays, had to give it a miss. But since we are going there today, must give it a try!!! I had chili beef bacon dog and hubby had the set of onions beef I think. I was not feeling particularly hungry and we decided to just take a set and 2 various burgers and we can share the sides.

The food is not bad. But rather pricy I feel. Hmmm... the sides are nice though, I like the fries. =) But compare to Botak Jones, hmmm... this is pricier and somehow not as good I feel.
And they printed a "Hotdog Etiquette" which also serves as the brochure. And it is quite funny.

Take a read if you are there!

My personal favourite?
A hotdog should be eaten in not more than 5 bites except for foot longs.

So, girls, it's OK for us to eat with no regards to our image when eating hotdogs!

But then again, if you are on a first date, unless ur man is a sport jock, you better don't try too... or unless you hope your first date is also your LAST date!! hahahaha...

Walked around and we bought these from Daiso. Snacks and household items.

More like plastic bags to shrink fit our big and bulky items. Don't know if it's useful but at least we tried lor.

If it works then we would have manage to save some of our cupboard space. I heard from Ah Teck that shop and safe has good quality ones.

Well, see how it goes.

I saw the TV program last night and it intro Vivo. So I sort of made Hubby walked round to find all the shops that was on TV. hahaha... I found the sky gardens and also the large Pet shop. Nice lei. Inside got so many small puppies and hamsters! So cute!!! If not for the fact that I'm a lousy pet owner, I would have bought home either a puppy or a hamster!!! So cute and so nice!!! SOOOOOO adorable!!!!!!

Besides going into Daiso to get somethings, there isn't much else for us to get. Wanted to show hubby the COACH bags but Tangs don't carry it. So far, I only know that Taka has a boutique carrying it, can't seem to find it anywhere else =(

We went for tea at Pacific Cafe again. But I tried their Ginger latte... erm... put it this way, still prefer their Chocolate Paradise. Nicer lor. haha... Will stick to that from now on! We stayed quite some time there lei. Just sit there and sip our coffee and chit chat. Best of all, it was still raining, so though we sat outside, it was not hot nor warm at all. In fact, it was cool and when the doors opened, we felt cold coz of the cold air! Nice!!!

We passed by the noodle shop while having lunch and we made our way back to the store. According to hubby, he says the Ke Lo mee is a very special mee that orginated from Sarawak. So since we are so near to such a store, of course must go and try lor!

Hmmm... price is slightly on the high side. But I feel, the ingredients that is given made up for the price. There's plenty of char siew, 4 wantons, 2 prawns and a bowl of soup that comes with each portion of noodles. Not bad. I like their chili. Not that spicy but it was good! The char siew is also tender and not fatty. But, the most important is the Mee. THE main ingredient. It looks kind of normal, looks like maggie mee. But when you eat it, it's springy w/o the noodles kind of taste. Nice.
May or may not go back again, since there's so many other kind of food waiting for me to try. If I've tried all and still prefer this, will definately go back lor.

But, it's worth a try if you have not tried it before!

Post Christmas!

Pouring since last night!

And it was a cold, snugglily morning and that's exactally what hubby and I did! We lazed till after 11am before we were able to pull ourselves out of bed! (Thank God I'm on leave!) But actually made us wake up was Wise's good news. Hahah... Congratulations again, Babe!

Rustled up some food to fill our stomachs and then we went for our proper lunch at the coffeeshop. =) Have been eating too much meat for the last few days and decided to pick more veggies for lunch instead.

Then we slowly made our way to Ikea, I realised I have to put the branch now with the Tampinese branch opened. We went to Ikea ALEXENDRA. (again!) We desperately needed tables to make it more effective and definitely more COMFORTABLY for me to blog, msn and do do my studies next year *which is a few more days.

All I wanted was the tables and legs. But somehow, when you have nothing else to buy, you end up buying even more? Yups, it happened again. The moment we stepped in, hubby was attracted to this shelf that was on displayed.

After discussing and measuring and imagining on where, how and all, we decided to get it.

So all in all, we got 2 boookshelves, 12 planks for the shelves, 2 pairs of crossbars, 3 tables (1 bigger in Birch, the other 2 in white), 12 table legs (4 in white and 8 in silver) 1 pair of bookends and 4 paper files. All in, we are now broker by another $350. Don't ask me where on earth we are going to put all into the current bedroom that is stuffed with 2 bicycles and a stationery exercise bike.

Shall take a pic of the room after it's done.

We were ambitious to want to carry it back in a cab with us. But after just taking from the stacks to the trolley to the cashier, we knew we had to do a home delivery.

So, these are coming in this Friday afternoon. And after that, we will be busy with setting it up and cleaning up of the house.

Abit excited now.

And after all the feasting for the past few days, we gave the famous meatballs and chicken wings a miss. Instead, we had coffee and shared a sliced of cheescake while debating on the colours of the legs and shelves! hahaha And I was just teasing hubby that how come after a year that we are married we are still looking an buying furniture for our house?!

Hubby gave me a very 'clever' reply. Coz it's for study room lor.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas or NOT?!

My family in law came over for dinner today. The whole family came and also OBIL's GF came. Surprisingly, I felt quite comfortable with her. We din really have a lot of chance to talk but when we do talk it was quite ok. She's still as quiet and shy as before but we are now on "smiling" more to each other and "small talk".

But I am very V-E-R-Y pissed!!!

Why?!

First, (ok, this is my fault), PIL commented on the fault. I noticed they are not used to the food I've prepared. I had the oven baked wings, ribs and ham from NTUC, then potatoe salad, a green salad and as the main course, pasta with corn and chicken soup. FIL went on to say he tried pasta at don't know where and then say not nice and all. I just kept quiet. Well, old people, maybe really not used to the food that I prepared. But I mentally made up my mind that if I asked them over for dinner again, I will prepare more suitable food.

Anyway, went on eating and YBIL began chewing his food very loudly and he has the cheek to ask, "I chew my food so loudly, you all don't find me irriating meh?" I was stumped! FIL then laughingly told him, since he knows why do it? Hubby told him, says he knows still do it. YBIL replied, "I was trying to test your limits."

TMD!!!!!!

That's not all ok!

That idiot then went on to lie on my sofa after hubby and FIL sat on it. He occupy the rest of the available spaces then! I cannot believe my FIL, even when YBIL propped his feet on FIL, he din say anything! COME ON LOR, this is not HIS house. MY HOUSE and he behave like this?! Wah lau!!!!

Hubby told him to sit properly, he sat up. Then went to my dining bench and lie down! And his response to hubby when hubby told him to sit properly again?

"What you want me to do?! You don't let me lie on the sofa, I lie here also cannot?!"

TMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cheek of that idiot!

My house and he behaves like that and makes it sounds as though as it's our fault?! DAMN!!!

Merry Christmas or what?!

Wah lau!

And to think that we kind of rush through lunch after mass in J8 so that we can go home to prepare food for them! What a waste of my efforts!!!!

This will be the first and last time that we invite them to come over!!!

Pre-Christmas

What a busy day we had! But it was so well spent!

This year, Christmas eve is on Sunday. So in addition to going for our traditional Christmas Eve's mass at night, early this morning, we went for our weekly Sunday mass as well.

After mass, we had lunch with some of our RCIA mates. It's been such a long time that we all went for a meal together! Though we do meet each other often but it's usually "Hi-Bye" but this time, we actually had time to sit down for a good lunch!

Nice!!!

Hubby, Emma and me also went to catch a moive, "Night at the Meusum". Very funny show. I thought it will look abit like Jumanji, but it's different. Nice. If you have not watched it yet, you should. Will enjoy this show very much!

We din eat dinner after such a filling lunch, so we just bought nachos and after the movie, we went to secret recipe and had cheesecakes before heading to CTK for Christmas Eve mass.

YBIL came with us too, he volunteered to come. =) Good mass. I like the carols. But so sad, they did not sing the "Away in a Manger". My favourite carol to date.

And as expected, we were famished after mass. Headed to AMK S11 for suppper. And look at the time now!!

Gosh... still have the mass later this morning to go. Actually we don't have to go since we already went for the mass just now. But since it's different readings and since we have nothing planned out. I think we will go if we can wake up.

Merry Christmas!!!

May the Lord's graces and blessings be with you all always!!!

Sunday, December 24

Tired.

Just came back from the BBQ that Clement and Wise invited.

I must say the chicken wings that was served are the BEST that we have ever tasted in all our BBQs!!

There should be honey as part of the marinating sauce. But what else, I have no idea. And I must say Ben's skills at BBQ is good lei. The wings are cooked evenly. Most of the BBQs that we went, the wings are either overcooked or not cooked and does not tastes so good.

We had lots of other food, fried been hoon, bacon with aspragus, wings, satay, beef kebab. Nice lor!

But now so stuffed and tired. After all, I've been doing alot of walking this whole day lei!

Tired and stuffed out. But still need to go and sleep. Mass in the morning soon.

Tks Clement and Wise for inviting us to the BBQ.

Edited on 28 Dec... I just remembered that there's a photo that I took at the BBQ near to Clement's & Wise's estate.
THIS!
Sorry lar, taken at night with my lousy HP camera. So the picture not clear. Can you see it? "Ong Lai" (pineapple) lei! First time I see such a big "ong lai" growing in HBD estates and each and every plant has one growing ok!
How come no one will go and pluck? hahaha

Friday, December 22

Full steam ahead

Okie... Finally the weekend is here.

Christmas is 2 days away. Isn't it wonderful? I'm so looking forward to it.

Presents, food, gatherings, fun and merry making! I love it!

But before all these, I'm gonna have a full and busy weekend. But I'm looking forward towards it. Hope you all have a good and merry christmas too!

Thursday, December 21

I think I did it.

I tried the oven baked chicken wings again.

My 2nd time making it this week and I think, 3rd, 4th time in total.

And I proudly declare, I got the hang of it!!

Tada!!!

Not bad. I think I got it. =)

This time it looks dark but it's not burnt and the meat is not too tough and hard. I saved 1 piece for hubby for him to try coz he had dinner at PIL's place before coming home.

His verdict. Nice. But it was abit salty. And when I asked him if it's suitable to cook this for his family, he says it's suitable. =) Good!

My menu for the Christmas dinner on Monday is out and settled!

Mails

I got lots of shopping orders from the various credit cards that I have.

The companies are sending me MORE cards and yet more glossy magazines tempting me with their dresses, shoes, bags, cosmestics, skin cares and household items and even comfortable looking bed linen!

Can I go shopping, Darling?

Will you pick up the tabs?

I do so like the Coach Soho handbags and also the Canon Ixus camera. Not to mention, that I would love to try the cosmestics provided by Estee, Clarins and also update my so boring wardrobe. Of course, to make our house more comfortable, I will love to have the pots and pans. The Corelle sets and also bed linen.

How Darling, HOW????

Tuesday, December 19

Oven baked Chicken Wings.

Finally I tried oven baked chicken wings AGAIN. I got the recipe from Zu's kitchen. I tried this a few weeks ago but it was unsuccessful but I decided to try it again.

This time I improvise the recipe and came out with my own.

I used alot of other things instead of following the recipe.
I added the Dang Qui sauce, pepper, sugar and shao xin wine alone in marinating the wings. Then I used the fried chicken flour to coat it.
Coz the wings does not looked coated to me, I re-coat it a 2nd time.
Hubby said the wings smell nice. But does not taste as nice as it smells and he also said, better not make this for his family when they come for dinner on Christmas. Coz if he compares it to his mom's mine is not nice at all.
=(
Why do I even bother?!
I should just leave it and not concerned myself over serving what for dinner!
But then I think, coz I re-coat the wings and also added pepper that's why hubby says the skin is too powdery and peppery. And coz I baked it for too long, the meat became rather hard.
BUT! I shall not give up, I will try it again another time! I dom't care if hubby says not nice. Then I shall cook and make it again and again till he says it's nice!
Maybe Hubby is fussy. Besides the meat being too hard, I think it's ok lei. But the skin stuck to the aluminum foil. Next time, I shall brush some butter on it before placing my wings on it. I felt the skin was crispy enough and I like my food slightly spicy, so the pepper tasted right to me too.
Or Maybe, coz I am the cook, so I am looking excuses for myself? hahah...
I have a great idea!! Why don't I make some for you and you tell me what you think? ;P

Laugh all you want but the Kiddies rock!

I got this via email from my ex ex sup... Very funny.

To those of us who have children in our lives, whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or students... here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve.

And the first thing he said was "DON'T!"

"Don't what? " Adam replied.

"Don't eat the forbidden fruit." God said.

"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit ?

Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! "

"No Way!"

"Yes way!"

"Do NOT eat the fruit!" said God.

"Why?"

"Because I am your Father and I said so!" God replied, wondering why He hadn't stopped creation after making the elephants.

A few minutes later,God saw His children having an apple break and He was miffed!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" God asked.

"Uh huh," Adam replied.

"Then why did you?" said the Father.

"I don't know," said Eve.

"She started it!" Adam said.

"Did not ! "

"Did too ! "

"DID NOT ! "

Having had it with the two of them, God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY !

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it, don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children, what makes you think it would be a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.

6 We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Be nice to your kids. They will choose your nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN" AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

GOOD huh?!

Surprise Sunday

To my surprise, today was a rainy Sunday. R-A-I-N-Y! What a nice and wonderful surprise for us. =)

I love wet weather.

If, I'm at home, it's good to laze in bed (or rather, Sofa in my case), curled up with a nice book with some music playing in the back ground. Or it's good to go shopping in malls where there is less crowd and when u walk from mall to mall in the Open, it's good to stil feel cool and nice. So what if I need to carry a brolly? I don't really mind that much.

But I did neither of these in my favourite weather. Instead. As per our practise and religious teachings, we went for mass. The skies opened when I was bathing and by the time we were ready to go out, the rain was coming down pretty hard. Took a big brolly with us, so that we won't get drench. Hubby is very bad at holding brolly and sheltering us and not to 'biong' me on my head as I have come to realise so with a bigger brolly, the chance of these 2 happening is lesser too.

The rain did stop for a while during mass but it came back when mass ended. Also, went for confession today. It's compulsory to go for confession before Christmas and Easter. We were weaiting in the confession room... I was thinking who will the preist be? Since, I've already gotton Fr Yim and Fr Robert before, I thought it will be Fr Peter.

I heard the slow, deliberate, paced, steady footsteps before I even saw the priest and I knew it was Fr Yim once again. I did a physical cringe but was mentally glad. Put it this way, it's hard to make confessions. It's even harder to make confessions to a priest who knows you! But it's good to make confession to a priest who knows you coz he "knows" your history and can give better advises.

My confessions this time warrant me a 1 decade of the rosary... coming from Fr Yim, seems to be quite alot lei! I usually get, 1 Our Father, 1 or 3 Hail Mary's. Anyway, as long as I'm absolve from my sins. I'm willing to go with the penance that Fr gave me.

But Fr Yim also very funny lar. When he saw me, he responed to my "Morning Father" with "Morning Sha..." (Think he want to give the false impression that he don't know who I am, but how lame can that be. When he always calls us if he is free and within his eye range and us with our backs turn, usually in the bookshop.) Then he added, with his hands sheilding his eyes, "I'll try not to look at you so you don't feel shy." I was giggling. He was trying to control his laughter too. hahah.. Funny priest but I still like him.

It doesn't make confession any much easier. But kind of glad it was Fr Yim still. I know.. Contricdtion. But I cannot help it. But, definately, do feel much much lighter after confession.

And, we were kind of rushing to Eve's house for her housewarming cum gathering after mass, so din stay for lunch with the rest as we normally do. I know where Eve stays since, it's near the Cheng San CC (the place where we took our yoga) and also it's near to where I used to stay when I was a child. =) So, on this rare occassion, I lead the way to her house, on ALL other occassions, Hubby will be leading the way when we go anywhere that is not a mall. hahah... But this time, I AM the leader!!

You know, the new flats are all clustered together and they all share the same block number? The only difference is that the blocks all have a different letter behind it and yet, there will be 1 or 2 blocks that has no letter behind it?. Well, we reached the cluster of flats with no troubles. The problem began when we began searching for the block WITHOUT the letter. We walked round the whole cluster and still CANNOT find the block!

ARGG!!

Finally, decided to call the host to check the block number. She din pick up. Called another friend, din pick up too. Called the friend's wife. STILL NO PICK UP!! Wah... not my day to find out address lei... But thank God, 1 of them called me back. Then.... ORH~~~ the host left out the letter 'C'. Wah lau...

Anyway, finally managed to get there. *PHEW* We were not the latest. Only the 3rd couple to arrive ma. In good time la. Settled down to flip thru her wedding albums and shots. Nice! Then hubby irriated me lei. He was looking thru the AD photos with me and he went, "Whose house is this?" (after gate crashing. during the tea ceremony) "How come got to go back to her mom's plc?" HELLO!!! Hubby MARRIED me last year right? We went through the samething too right? Wah lau eh...

"Whose house is this?"
Of course, is the hubby's side family lar!! He got to bring the bride over to his side to serve tea ma!

"How come got to go back to her mom's plc?"
Serve tea to the bride's side ma!! Wah lau... really almost made me vomit blood!

Anyway... other than that, nothing much happend la. Sit, and chat and eat lor. Left at about 4pm and the rain started to fall heavier again.

By the time we reached home, I was sooooo tired. Bathe and then promptly fell asleep. When the clock struck 6pm, I was jerk awake. Think I have an internal alarm clock for time at times. Made our way to my parents' plc for dinner.

Mom was busy watching some korean show on VCD and din even wanna sit down for dinner with me! Hurmp!!! But, I think she made up for it with my favourite prawns. hahaha.. so she's forgiven.

Mom and I chatted for awhile and coz my grandma's area is going thru upgrading, grandma went to another aunt's plc to stay so mom is home, rarely she's home on Sunday nite, so we stayed and chatted for longer than usual.

When I suddenly remember that we need to get some drinks in time for the Christmas dinner for my family in law next Monday and since Hubby is with me, I made him go with me, instead of me carrying all the packet drinks all by myself lor.

Bought 4 different kinds. Got my favourite, Peach with Green tea, Lemon Barley. Hubby grapped the Ju Hua Cha... (abit boring I feel) then I saw that there's cranberry juice. I heard cramberry juice are good so I got that as well. Total of 4, 6 packs for a party of 7.. haha.. more than enough la. But I'll save some myself and not bring all out.. haha.. So selfish hor?! haha

I think I need to go to bed early. I'm soooooo tired! I slept like a log the moment my head hit the pillows but I don't feel rested enough! How come??!

Midnight shopping at J8.

Bishan was having midnight shopping on Saturday.

Needless to say, being proud home owners in Bishan area, we went to give support. Not that they need our support lor.. Coz the only thing Hubby and me bought are 3 items! Heh! Supposed to be crazy sales all the way right? And we only got 3 items. Out of which, 2 items are from Popular! Hubby bought a book and I got myself a magazine.

Truth be told, I won't even have got the magazine if not for the free dairy that comes with the Female magazine! Heh!! Women! And I paid $6 for it!!!
A $6 magazine...yet all I want is the Dairy!
But this dairy is quite cute... There's different beauty tips every week.
Check out what it says on my Bday week.. Go figure it out yourself!
Heh! Women. I wanted to get the book "Devil wears Prada" but hubby stopped me... he says it's a worthless book!

Then to cheer myself up coz I did not get my book, I got some inner wear for myself at Seiyu. When I'm in a shopping mood and yet I'm being stopped, I feel darn pissed and MUST MUST get something!!

Stopped by at the auction stage. I was interested in the OTO trimax, but so is alot of other ppl. And I din want to part with $230 for that. So I just stood to take in all the bids and fun talking and pointing and guessing who will be the ultimate bidder to walk away with the Trimax.

Went to queue for the lucky dip and I got myself a Soo Kee pendant from it. I think it will be suitable for my youngest sis more than myself.
Will give it to her as a Christmas present instead, not cheapo la. It's too colourful for me and I thought a young girl like my sis will do well with colours.

But, what for I let that pendant rot and collect dust when I don't even wear my existing collections now?!

All settled, we headed home on foot.

It's the 2nd day in a row that we walked home on foot from J8.

Saturday, December 16

Friday night!

All too soon, it's Friday night.

After a half day shopping trip with my colleague, I went home, did the chores and waited for Hubby to come home. I wanted to reach home early coz he said we will have dinner together. And I wanted to go home to prepare dinner for him.

But, yet when I reached home, Hubby called me and said that he will be home later and will be having dinner at his mom's place. =(

Ok lor. Since he want to take his dinner there. Then I'll just do my chores and then make a simple egg and cheese omlette with mushrooms for myself. Will be filling enough for me since I used 2 eggs, 2 slices of cheese and a can of mushrooms! When Hubby saw me cooking, he went "ewwww", "why like this?", "why like that?" Got me kind of irriated!

Yet, when my creation is ready, he took a few mouthfuls and was back for more! -_-"

I was feeling kind of bored being home on a Friday night and I tempt Hubby into going J8 with me for a walk. hahaha... Coz I knew Clement and Wise are gng to be there and with God's grace, we can meet up for coffee! And I also want to pay all the bills before the due date, so just as well that we go J8 coz of the AXS station.

As I made payment, I got hubby to sms Wise and my goodness, we came from the same place yet we totally missed each other. They were at level 4 and we were there too but din see each other!

Anyway, we made plans to meet up in Coffeebean for coffee since they are done with shopping and we were ready to go home if we do not manage to meet up.. But, by God's grace, we managed to catch each other.

Had a good time catching up and just yakking with each other lor. Wise and me talked about soooo many different things. From our childhood, to Pri school, to Secondary school to Poly, to dating to wedding! And you know what the 2 husbands were talking about?

NS, ARMY!

Darn boring lei, these men. When they get together, they only talk about 3 things. House, Cars and the FOREVER attractive ARMY!

We stayed there till it's time for Coffee Bean to call it a night then we made our way home. They have to take a cab home la. No choice.. Hubby and me walked home.

By the time, we reach home was already 1.40AM. After my blogging, it's already close to 2.30AM now. Better go n catch some sleep. In less than 5 hours, we got to be up again for our weekly yoga.

Wednesday, December 13

Still just me.

Well, Hubby went off to meet some friends who claims that he has lobang for jobs.

I'm home alone. I don't mind. Having a good time, blogging, msn-ing and watching TV at the same time.

Hubby is still down with flu and slightly feverish. Hope he will recover soon. Quite poor thing to hear him sniffing and sneezing around all the time. While for myself, I can feel the gas and acid still in my stomach and it will create the cramps and pains which will send me to scurry for my medicine.

Was supposed to go for Kick box this evening, but had dinner at home and I think not wise to risk me throwing up food and also my gastric is still not under control, will try to go tomorrow instead.

Already close to 11pm and hubby is still not home yet. I realised when hubby has to go for his $ mastery thing, he usually comes home quite late. I'm not complaining but I'm just concerned if his body can take it especially when he's not well now. Also, we seem to be seeing lesser and lesser of each other lately.

Granted that we are on MSN, but after work, we seem to have our own individual activities. He has his $ masterly things and will be back late, shortly after he comes home, we will go to sleep. Or it will be me with some kind of activites after work.

I think, when my course starts, we will have even lesser time for each other. At times, I wonder, would it have been better if we were not married and study? Coz we will still have our family to do the meals, clothes and whatever else necessary for us. While we just work and study. If, we grow apart, then so be it, coz there's no committment for us both.

But, we are married now, not only, we got to study and work, we got to also work hard at our marriage. It's normal for us to not have time for each other, but how will this affect our marriage and our live together?

Maybe, once again, I am thinking too much and worrying too much. Not that I don't have faith in hubby, myself nor our marriage, but I believe that there is no need for us to put our marriage to the test unncessarily. And somehow, this study bit, in my mind IS putting our marriage to a certain amout of test.

ARGG!!!

Opps...Looks like there's only me available...

I upgraded the blogger to Beta version and all seems to be well as long as I do not add in some labels to that particular post. Once, I added then somehow, it does not appear into the main posts but into some 'sub-folder' under that particular label. Hence, to resolve this issue, I just decided to skip labeling the posts. Not a very good option but better than nothing lor.

And actually, I find that in beta, it's easier to post and manage, sort of like more shortcut and definitely, the posting of photos are much much much easier and faster. I like it!

But ever since I made this change, Hubby seems to be "banned" from this blog. Though I've made him a co-author, when he sign into blog, he cannot access this link. =( So, now, I will be the only person who will posts.

Quite sad lei. In the first place, I'm already blogging more than him. With him being "banned" now, all the more he has no chance to blog anymore.

This evening, hubby went for his $ mastery course again. So I'm alone at home for the evening. Not to mention that the news I've received that all the work and planning got to be pushed forward, these made me feel even more alone and depressed.

So all in all, I'm enjoying my evening alone but not enjoying that I will be alone in this blog. hahaha.. makes sense??

Monday, December 11

Everybody going for Holiday except US!!! =(

Yesterday, hubby told me OBIL sent him an email asking hubby and me if we wanna to to Taiwan with him and his GF in Apr. The exact dates was 4 Apr to 7 Apr next year.

Checked the calendar and it's right smack into the Easter season, we will be busy with church activities, with Moundy Thursday (Day before Jesus died), Easter (Day where Jesus died), Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday, where we will have the baptism mass) and lastly Easter Sunday during those dates that OBIL choose.

Easter is a busy time for us, especially during the week of Easter (Good Friday) the day before and for that weekend, we will be making a trip to church as this is one of the most important of the church.

Anyway... back to the holiday... so we cannot go. Which I think may not be such a bad thing after all, if we were to go, we have to spend more $$ and also I will miss my lessons somehow. But on the other hand, there will be a chance for me to get to know the couple slightly better. I mean, seeing each other for the entire 4 days, we are bound to talk and chit chat and maybe that will make our re-ship better right?

So there goes Taiwan... *puff* in smoke... =(

If you don't already know, Tiger airways is having their mega promotions again. This time, it's 2 cents per trip to 4 places in Thailand, which includes, Phuket, Bangkok, Hat Yai & Krabi from July to Sep. After hearing the news, OBIL again asked if we are interested to go, but for me, I dare not commit coz July will be a new sem for me and I have no idea which day the lessons are. So OBIL made booking for 5 ppl to Phuket in July, which include his parents, his GF and his youngest Bro. The entire family is going for a holiday but Hubby and me got to stay behind! ARGG!!!

I want to go too!!!

Since the dinner that we had together in M'sia and what 3rd aunt told hubby, I'm begining to feel sorry for her. It did not occur to me that I will be feeling sympathetic towards her, since I still secretly harbour and nurse the ill-feelings I have towards her. But I can feel my feelings towards her slowly changing.

I don't envy her in this situation. Especially when they are travelling in a group. She has no choice but to interact with PIL. MIL will be alright but FIL may be a bit more of an issue. He has this knack of asking and asking and sometimes can be embrassing when he gets too loud and justs keeps asking and expecting you to explain. Or he can be such a nagger. Repeating the same thing over and over again and again. Till you get so sick of him. But no choice, in my case, because he is the FIL, got to entertain him abit.

I thought I will be concerned that PIL grow to like her more than me. But now, I realised, it does not matter who they prefer. Why? Coz I realised that no matter who they prefer, they have no choice in who their sons choose as wives for themselves. As long as I do my part as a DIL to them, I have nothing to fear. After all, at the end of the day, who will they answer to? Who will I answer to? So, I don't have to be too concern over these now and make myself miserable.

But, I do feel that the GF is very lucky. She appear at the right time for OBIL. Just as he finished his studies, earning good $, relatively good career, financially strong, she appeared. And she was able to enjoy all the benefits that he can give her. I assume being chauffered, meals paid for, holidays subsidised, and don't have to bear with all the irregular time during exams, stress and his then pilot training. Seems like the ex was there to only share the bad but not the good while, she's here to share the good and I hope for their sake, the bad too.

It's strange how life can turn out. Everybody assume that OBIL and the ex will tie the knot soon. Yet he's with someone else now.

Earlier, when hubby came to fetch me from work, the DJ posted this question to his listeners, "What if one day, after 4,5 years, your ex emailed you an 'I Love You'. What will you do?"

I told hubby, my response will be, "Why? Regret now ar? You deserve it! And you are too late, I'm happily married to a wonderful man now." Hubby was of course pleased to hear it. And it din occur to me then, but I was wondering, if OBIL will ever do the mention "What IF" one day. haha..

I think I'm evil. VERY evil. I just want to see him regret. Not for the rest of his life, but at least on this, one occassion.

I think it won't happen anyway... so I'm doomed for disappointment.

But, SERIOUSLY, I am praying for understanding and peace for the family, that God will set aright whatever that is wrong.

Thank you or not?

Er...... Thank you for all the concern that you all showered on me after reading about my fall hor.

That is if you all din laugh yourselves silly after reading my first thought lor.

*sheepish*

But that was really my first thought when I attempt to climb up ma.

And I forgot to add that, hubby, when he found out I had a fall, he laughed himself silly! Laughed till there were tears in his eyes! And he almost cannot straighten up when I told him at the bus stop while waiting for our bus to come.

And yes, it still hurts NOW!

According to what I see from the mirror, heng! there is no blue black! But, I got a few laughs from my friends who frequent my blog(s) and I think my post manage to cheer them up slightly from the mundane daily life and YES! They think I am BB crazed.

Help! Help!!

Sunday, December 10

OUCH! My bum bum hurts!

I slipped and fell right smack on my bum bum yesterday morning. =(

Till now my right bum still hurts.

Went to Thomson for dim sum breakfast with Wise and Clement after yoga and I had a registered mail at the Thomson branch post office, I had to go and collect it. But hor, it was raining and getting heavier by the minute, I made a dash for it.

All was fine till I reached the doorstep of the post office...

The moment my right feet touched the tiled door step of the post office, weeeezzzzzzzzzz.... I slipped and landed on my butt.

Boy, it was sooooo embrassing ok! There were so many people queuing inside! And you know what's my first thought?!

"Thank GOD, I'm not pregnant."

-_-"

I think some part of my brain is not working very well. I should be thinking things like, I don't know... "the fall not that hard?" or "which part of me is injured?" or "how many people saw me?" BUT!!! I did not think any of these!!

Gosh... some deep buried part of myself must be BB crazy at this moment in time.

Saturday, December 9

*Phew~*

Wah! Heng!

Thank Goodness I went to the market this morning and bought some meat, veg and fruits!

I invited my middle sister to come over to my house for dinner when I found out that my mom din cook and that she will eating dinner alone and out.

Since, I'm cooking, I just asked her and she agreed.

But hor.. the sad thing is that coz I already boiled my soup even before I asked her, so there was not enough soup to go round lor.

But for the dishes, not a problem. I bought some frozen chicken wings weeks ago and I just needed to thaw more (I had cleverly pre-packed them in packets of 3 wings each). Not enough greens to go round too so I just mixed a can of button mushrooms to the broccoli.

All in all, I had gin sen chicken soup, pan fried chicken wings in Dang Qui sauce and brocoli with mushrooms. Of course a bowl of rice for all.

This was dinner, not fanastic, but hey... pretty proud of myself still. =)

unfair treatment!

Me feeling depressed and unfairly treated!!

While we were coming home after Yoga earlier, I asked hubby if we are going out. He asked me where I want to go and then I suggested Ikea Tampinese. He came home, checked the shuttle services and then when we both realised that there is not shuttle bus, we decided to not go and think of another place instead.

But throughout the whole discussion and even this morning, while we were gng to Yoga, he kept grumbling and mumbling that he's so tired coz I dragged him to go shopping with me yesterday. That his back is sore and that he is tired.

HELLO!!

Yesterday after shopping, then he shd sleep early lor and not be watching TV and all lor. PISSED lei!!

Kept on saying that it was me who dragged him shopping hence so tired. *BASKET*

Then I told him, Wakin is Zhou Hua Jian (recently a friend's friend made his proposal to his GF during the concert) and I was wondering who on earth Wakin is! Then when I finally found out, I told hubby since he also don't know. Damn!! Hubby was sooooo engrossed in watching his TV that I got to say 2,3 times Wakin is Zhou Hua Jian, and hubby in turn say I din tell him things rightly?!

Damn it!!! Cannot blame me if his brain cannot register what I told him a few days ago and that his brain is not fast enough to link the conversation together and his brain is sooooo fixed on the TV that he's not listening to me right?!

DAMN!!!

All my fault.

More Christmas Presents!

Half day leave today and spent the afternoon with hubby. =)

Took our lunch at Emerald Orchard, Food Court, one of the nice Korean stalls there and then went to walk around. I still have some Christmas shopping to do and I heard that Robinsons having 20% sale, and I want to get my mascara so went in. Then I realized, the sale does not include fragrances and cosmetics. What a let down! chey!!!

Showed hubby the purple dress that is so pretty and he say "OK la, not very nice." Men have such a different view on what is nice and not nice from women!

Anyway, we walked over to Taka coz I wanna get some toys for my 2 nephews but after looking, I still have no idea what to get lei. So sian. Then getting quite bored with town, we decided to go to Vivo city. I know I very sua ku la.. but no choice lei, still haven't gone there yet.

So hubby and me took the train down lor. And hor, the moment I reached there, gives me a feel of Malaysia. Coz the building is so big, it's like no end to walking through it! Reminds me abit of KLCC or something like that lor.

But not bad lei, in the 2,3 hours there, we had a nice coffee break at Pacific Coffee. Their chocolate paradise is VERY nice!! Coz, it's chocolatly la, my favourite. So it's very very nice. Cold, ice blended with bits of real chocolates that you can bite into when drinking it. Hubby had the "Irish Cream Latte" which in our opinion is way tooooo sweet!

And I realised that most of the cafes/restaurants there have an alfreso dining/eating area that looks across to Sentosa and also PSA. Nice!

And hor, check out what the paper nakpin says...
Heh! Need to be soooooo obvious ar?
We walked around and we bought a few things, adding more items to my christmas lists. Settled, Godpa's, Godma's & Irene's present. Vivo is quite big. Really. And I don't think we manage to cover the whole place but we did cover the shops that interests us. Then I think shopping is a very tiring and hungry experience.
Coz Vivo is so new, so are the shops, some of the shops have promoters to give away freebies and things to attract crowds and to create awareness. Here's what "Forever 21" gave away... pretty, fluttering, papery butterfiles... There's supposed to be blue and pink as well but I only managed to get 2. Oh well..
Then I realized that Vivo must have some kind of promotion with the Standard Chartered credit cards, they had these.
Men and women dressed in skintight leotarts (SC colours) forming a small band complete with 2 jugglers. And almost everywhere, you can see the SC banners or posters or don't know what lucky draws if the SC card is used. Their slogan? "You swipe, we reward."
Heh! The more I swipe the more I pay...don't think their reward can cover much and also... I may not win lor. And I would have spent so much MORE $$$!

Shortly after, hubby complain that he needs food. Guess where we headed? Back to Bishan since we had a $40 Sakae Sushi voucher, we had sushi for dinner. I think we are both big eaters lei! Goodnes... the 2 of us polished off 12 coloured plates and 3 other premium plates while a family of about 4 or 5 people ate less than us... =P No wonder we growing so fat now!

Walked around and I guess, I'm gng to get some chocolates for my youngest sis as christmas present and got some vouchers for my other sis. Really no idea of what to get them liao lei. Everytime buy tops, clothes also very sian and I don't see them wearing so might as well get them something that they can eat lor.

See?! After the hours on our feet, looking hard for grabs and good gifts, these are what we manage to fill our bags with which also leaves our pockets another hundred bucks lighter. -_-"

One of the Clarins pencil is for myself lar. Actually hor, I think, we din buy alot of things lei.
Just 1 book for Godpa, a bookmark for Irene, $20 voucher for my Sis, 2 eye liner pencils (waterproof) in brown for myself and Godma.
That's all lei. I made hubby buy me a bookmark too. But not photographed here yet. Wait till he give me then I will post it up.
Also went to NTUC and finally made the order for the ribs and ham that we intend to serve for dinner when my family-in-law come over, a grand total of 7 people (including us).

NTUC is sellting this set (set 25) at $33.80 and it includes the honey glazed pork ribs (1kg) and a Baby honey baked ham in a gift box. I don't need the box lar, we are eating it and not meant as gifts.

In addition to that, I will make some chicken wings, some green salad, potatoe salad and also pasta. So should be enough for all.

I already have some mini strawberry rolls & eclairs that I've ordered previously and was thinking of serving this for dessert.
But when I passed by Bread talk and saw these...
Gosh!!! SO PRETTY!!! I wanna order it too!!!

Hmmm... Should I order this?

OR should I order the chocolate fondue set from Pine Gardens? Or should I just stick to the strawberry rolls and éclairs (which are currently residing in my fridge)?? Now, I cannot make up my mind! DUH!!! How?? HOW??!!!Which dessert shall we offer?! Log Cakes? Mini strawberry rolls and chocolate eclairs?? Chocolate Foundue???

Walked round J8 some more and finding nothing much else.... we started on our way home. Also being tired from the shopping the whole afternoon, a good dinner, we were ready to call it a night.

And seriously, J8 is really really boring! Nothing much at all lei.

BUT, even MORE seriously, which dessert?!?!?!?

Change Again

This company called me up for interview about a week ago, at first they say last Friday, then after that they say the manager not around, change to this Wednesday, which is today. Then call me up this morning say the manager last minute need to go KL, change again to this Friday, and it is not even confirm. I think may change to next week. Well the more they change, the higher my chance of getting in. I can almost feel that they are going to employ me. Any way we shall see... :)

Monday, December 4

A wasted trip.

Desperately in need of some tables and chairs for our new soon-to-arrive-desktop that we got FOC from the signing of the Starhub maxonline connection.

We spent yesterday looking around for some tables. NORMAL, SIMPLE tables that is a plank of wood with 4 legs are what we have in mind, but we can't seem to find anything remotely like that. All the tables come with drawers, CPU shelves and goodness knows what else other kind of shelving units that costs like a freaking $300!! Gosh... $300 is what we have in mind for a "L" shaped AND a normal table! Not JUST 1 table. Goodness!

Searched thru the web and realized that Ikea has these simple tables and best of all, it's very affordable. Even if we have to take cab back after our purchases, it's still very much affordable!

So after mass and lunch at the nearby coffee shop, we went to Ikea in search for the tables and chairs.

I was craving for their meatballs and chicken wings, hence din take lunch except for a drink (since we had zhui queh just before going for mass, we were pretty full) and I wanted to save my stomach for the meatballs and chicken wings as tea cum dinner.

Took a walk around and to our surprise, Eugene and Samantha came up to say hello. They were there to do furniture shopping for their new home too. Haha.. and great minds think alike, we all felt that the new branch in Tampinese will be too crowded hence we are all back to the Alexendra branch for our shopping.

Finally walked to the tables section and you know what?

The tables we wanted are all OUT OF STOCK! Argg...

Too disappointed so we went to pig out at the Swedish restaurant. To our surprise, there is a queue being formed outside the restaurant and what surprises us even more was that there were even service staff manning the queue and to find and clear tables! The times that we've been to Ikea, we had to clear our own tables and also to look for seats ourselves. So this came as a surprise.

Emma had loan us her card, so we were able to have 2 complimentary drinks and purchase the meatballs at members' price which is about a dollar cheaper. Since, this is going to be tea AND dinner, 10 meatballs is not enough. We ordered 6 chicken wings to go with it as well. It's yummy!!! really wonder what they put in the wings and meatballs. It's soooo good! As I'm typing, I'm drooling again. I shall go and apply for the Ikea card and then we can go there for discounted food since we need to buy the items.

I know that the swedish food market sells frozen meatballs and even the sauce... should we buy and home? Then we can enjoy swedish meatballs at the comfort of our own home too! Do they have the wings as well???

We were prepared to go to the Tampinese branch to get the tables if we have to and clever hubby called up the Tampinese branch to check before we rush down. Yep. We are THIS desperate for tables. But even Tampinese branch is OUT OF STOCK! Gosh.. so no choice lor.. We just to back to the tables section and note down exactally what we want. The moment they have stock, think hubby and me will rush back. Well, the only good thing I can think of is that, at least there will be another opportunity for me to pig out on their meatballs and chicken wings.

After a few hours in Ikea, we have deceided that we need to get 3 such tables coz of the different dimensions, we will have 2 small ones and then the bigger one will be in the middle, kind of forming a letter "T" for hubby and me to work on our desks at the same time.

I like their black/brown shade but the smaller table does not have that colour. So, hubby and me decided to have 2 small tables in white with black legs and a big black/brown table with white legs for ourselves to match with the rest of the furniture in the hall.

What I like best about Ikea besides their very affordable prices and so many things to choose from is that, they allow you to customised your furniture! You can really pick and choose what you want and how you want it. Good! Can you believe that on estimates, these 3 tables will costs us like LESS than $150?! Cheap lor.. As compared to V.hive or something, each table will costs like twice the amount!

I guess, it's also a good thing that the smaller tables, black/brown is not available else, our room and all will look very dark and gloomy. Especially, when we have bought 2 chairs for ourselves.

Hubby said, all our furniture are in this kind of shade. Black and dark. But I prefer this kind of shade over beidge, white and some bright colours leh. So being the man that hubby is, I won lor. haha..

It took us soemtime to finally decide on this chair. Hubby wanted to get the foldable chair instead but I found that very flimsy and would prefer a more sturdy one. We placed both chairs side by side and began playing "musical chairs" there and then. But finally, hubby was once again convinced by me and we got 2 of these.

We carried the chairs and took the public bus home since there isn't any shuttle services provided and then while hubby was busy putting the chairs together,
I went to my mom's place coz my sis went to Sitex and I asked her to help me get a pair of dect phones as well as a USB hub for my tablet.

Really it's cheaper to get things from Sitex. The same phones we saw is courts was like $10 more! But then it could be coz it's the last day of Sitex and the stalls wanna clear stocks so it's cheaper? Anyway, I don't care as long as the set is in working condition. Now, all we need is to wait for starhub to activiate the voice over modem and our home phone will be working. Was asking hubby, who will the first call be from? His dad or my mom?? hahaha

Then my sis helped me buy the USB hub as well and this needs a power socket in order to work. She's saying it's good coz I can use it as my charger for my hp and MP3 player w/o the need of a PC. wooo.... I din even know that there's such things available in the market. Hahaha... I mean I know that there's such a thing call USB hub but I din know that it can be used as charger la.

Hubby dozing on the sofa, me still watching my "started with a kiss", blogging and msn-ing ALL at the sametime. Will call it a night soon, it's a working day later, lunch with Godma and Bro, and still have the last session of yoga in the evening.

Nite!

Sunday, December 3

From China.

Mom and youngest sis is back from China on Friday and hubby and I went over for dinner earlier.

These are what they bought back for us from China.
Some cream, a HP casing and a pearl necklace. -_-"
I think mom enjoyed her trip very much. She cannot resists sharing and showing what she bought there. But looking at the photos, it was freezing cold. My aunt even had a strange encounter in a hotel room one night, encounter with probably hantu hantu... which kind of freaked me out too! Yikes!!

According to mom, it was in this particular hotel that one night when my cousin din want to spend the night with my aunt. Thus she's alone lor and when she lie down on the bed, she can smell a rotting smell that seems like the decomposing stretch of a corpse. Yikes!!! That freaked her out too and she then bunked the night with my mom and sis.

Nothing much exciting after that. But well, mom bought lots of pearls and some jade lions which does not interest me at all and she wanted to give me 1 of the lion to erm... "protect me from harm, bring wealth etc etc" among a whole host of other things. -_-"

After dinner, mom wanna go to Grandma's house, we then took a walk at Toa Payoh in search of phones and tables. Saw some phones but pretty expensive leh. Almost $90! We shall hunt some more then. Tables.. bleh. NOTHING at all.

Hubby says can check V.hive and also Ikea to see their range. Think no other choice lor.

Feelings.

Feelings are strange things. It can make you do lots of strange things. And worse, you cannot really control the feelings that you have towards a certain someone unless you try very hard to change it.

I say it coz, I took it for granted that PIL prefer ex gf and thought he has already accepted new gf. But as much as I assumed that he has accepted it, I know deep down he would still have preferred ex. And this came out once again. Or rather I should say, only recently then I realized the extent of how much FIL has not taken to new gf yet.

Though he did not say it to his sons nor any of us, he has mentioned to 3rd aunt (his sister) that he don't like new gf. Actually, from the way I look at it, she's ok. Abit "lian" but I think young girls behave like that. She's pretty quiet too. So she seems ok. Of course, plus the fact that she's not a Singaporean, so FIL may be bias. But I think the actual fact is just that he has not gotten over ex.

This may not concern me so I am not too bothered. What bothers me more is that he made remarks to 3rd aunt like "seldom go back for dinner." Sometimes, I wish FIL will come outright to ask us and we can tell him what's happening so that we do not have that kind time to go back more often. Of course, we have the weekends free. But weekends are precious to us too and we want to spend time just alone lor.

Personally, I think I am being the best DIL I can be to them. I don't keep their son away from them and really, we try to make time to go back at least once a week.

Sometimes, if only people will tell you what they are thinking, what they want or expect you to do, and if you can compromise and then the world will be a much better place to live in isn't it?

This morning, as hubby and me were on our way home after the weekly yoga sessions. He mentioned that he felt that OBIL does not seem very sure of GF as in if she is THE one for him based on his answer to our "When you intend to get married?" which prompted a "then when are you going to have your kid?" Hubby says based on this, he felt that his bro is not certain abt her coz if he is, then he should be replying "xxx years/months later" But I feel differently. I felt that since he already has indicated that he would like to go and see the show flats with her, then it should mean something.

I don't know.

Which once again brings me back to "if only everyone wears their feelings written in the form of words on their sleeves/forehead" the world will definitely be that much easier to live in lor.

They are coming...

Spent the whole afternoon with OBIL, his GF and hubby in SITEX and also in JB, Malaysia.

When in SITEX, din have much chance to talk coz I reached 2 hours after they have reached. Needless to say, they have already more or less finished walking around. So the moment I reached, hubby whisked me off to the Starhub booth and we stood there for a solid 2 hours just to queue for the internet connection.

Then we rushed all the way to JB... coz I found out that GF's bro will be fetching her at about 7pm after his work to go back to their hometown for the weekend, which is like 3 hours drive from JB according to GF.

Chatted for awhile and I realized, some of the things that I have previously said about OBIL is still true but I've left my feelings over-ride my whole self. I've also because of the ex GF decided to dislike the current GF.

I took the chance to invite her to our plc for the Christmas gathering and she has agreed but she made me confuse with "going to your parents' house?" I was really confused with "your parents" does she mean PIL? My Parents? Gave her a very confused look and then finally clarify that it's OUR home then she got it and she say yes, will come. *Phew*

Not sure, what was (or were?) the factor(s) that made me change. I definitely believe that prayers and with the grace of God, I've manage to overcome this hurdle. But I think it's also coz of what 3rd aunt told hubby 2 days ago, as hubby met 3rd uncle while he was on his way home after the heb B jab. Then went to their child's hse to look see.

3rd aunt mentioned that FIL is not really happy with this current GF but did not explain why. But in my opinion, it's coz FIL prefers YL and is prejudice against GF now. Also we manage to find out some family history.

Suddenly, I feel quite sorry for GF now. She has a tough fight in front of her and to be honest, I am not really sure if she can ever win this battle with PILs. No matter what, they will prefer YL, that much I am sure. But then again, over time, over space, they may grow accustomed to GF and grow to like her?

I can only say, for her to overcome this, OBIL needs to know when to draw the line in defying and going against FIL and have to get GF to appear in a better light in FIL's eyes.

Oh! Another thing, 3rd aunt told hubby that FIL is a very traditional and stubborn man. I've yet to encounter these 2 traits of him but I guess, sooner or later, this will surface. Fil also seemed to have mentioned something like "din go home for dinner" I am not sure if he's referring to us (that we did not go home more often for dinner) or BIL or specifically just me. Coz there are days when hubby goes back alone when I go for kick box. Not sure. But if he is referring to me, then *sigh* from next year onwards, there will be even more days/nights when hubby goes back alone while I go and study lor.

How to resolve, I don't know. I've already told them that next year, I am starting and sponsored by company. Hubby will start in the next sem. So how? Will have even lesser chance to go back in this case lor.

Then FIL make more remarks?? How?!?!?!

Early Christmas for me TOO!

=)

Christmas came early for me this year too! I got my prissy from Hubby yesterday. It's a brand new 6GB Creative Zen Neeon in Red.

First time I'm using it today. Quite silly and made some mistakes this morning. First, I don't know how to select the songs, then I don't know how to change from the MP3 function to the radio function... then.. I don't know how to off! haha..

That silly thing has delayed reaction, so not my fault mar, I pressed and pressed no reaction. =P Then I pressed and hold the "off" button for so long, and the thing does not go off!! haha..

Hubby laughed so hard at me this morning when I told him via MSN. =(

Yay!! Got new toy to play liao.. what songs should I put in?? Suggestions! Suggestions?!

Poster.

Remember I said that our photos are printed on the HUGE poster of CTK?

I finally manage to remember to get a shot of the big poster hanging on the walls.
Can find us?
There's altgother 3 shots of myself. 1 with my Godma, 1 with hubby and another group photo taken with our Confirmation class.

Don't know who so free can saboh us like that leh. But the person who designed the poster also never do a good job leh, why use the same person's photo so many times?!

P.s. Think the shot of hubby and me was the last shot that we have before getting married to each other... coz our confirmation class was in mid Sep 05 and our wedding 2 weeks later! =)

Finally Home :)

After 4 days in Malaysia, I was finally home yesterday. So happy. Finally can see my Darling. :) So many night without her a bit not used to it. Finally last night can hug and kiss goodnight with her. Most of the time over there is talking to people, listening to the speakers or doing some activities, the only time to miss my Dear is before I sleep. So good to be home.

Tuesday, November 28

It's Tuesday!!

Never thought that I can be so happy with the week being "Tuesday." But today, I am! I am happy that it's Tuesday. =)

Know why?? Hubby is back!!! Home tonite!!! =) At this time that I am typing this, hubby is already on the way home. I think he is snoozing or rather sleeping in the coach now. Since, that's what he does when he travels with me and from what I heard, he's been having late nights for the last few nights. Think he will be very tired.

I'm happy that he's coming home already. Miss him. True, that I do enjoy the time that I was alone. Time spent with my sister, lazing, snoozing, reading and having the whole house and bed to myself, but 5 days seem abit too long already. =P

Hurry, hurry home, Darling!

Friday, November 24

I'm home alone.

Hubby off to KL for his "Money Mastery" boot camp today and will only be coming home on Tuesday next week.

But I won't be too lonely coz tonite is the last nite of the Triduum mass in CTK, tml morning is our usual yoga session followed by breakfast. Just made a date with my sis to go shopping tml afternoon. =) Sunday, morning is mass, then go home to continue with the chores and to rest and re-charged for the Blue Blue Working Monday.

Time flies.

Already have my weekend planned out. Weekend is sooo precious, the time that I have seems to just fly by. Before I have even rested well enough, it's another week and another day!

Monday nite as usual is yoga and this time I will be going alone since hubby is not back yet. I heard that this coming session we are going to do yoga therapy. No idea what it means but I think it must be important coz the instructor keeps reminding us to be present. Too bad hubby will miss it. I will open my eyes and ears to see and to hear and then teach hubby when he comes back lor. haha..

Tuesday, he's back. Goody!

Preparing for Christmas =)

Went to Ikea today to have a feel of what we can add on to our house and just for a walk around since we have nothing much better to do.

But hungry woman is also an angry woman, and I whisked hubby off to their cafe the moment we step foot into Ikea. I did the ordering, coz I think hubby will not satisfy my cravings for their meatballs and chicken wings, hence I did the ordering. I ordered 10 pc meatballs and 6 pc chicken wings. I was drooling the whole time I was queuing ok! Finally got the food and tucked in. SOOOOOOOO good!! I wanna go back again!

Finally finished all the food and we started our walk. Ikea have soooooo much Christmasy things! Ranging from wrapping paper, cards, decorations for trees and also presents that is suitable for those gift ex changes. I almost went crazy in there! haha.. Saw these mini bubbles that I thought can add some color to our glassy Christmas tree and since it only costs $3.90 for 12 pieces, 6 matted kind and 6 clear kind. We decided to get it even if cannot be used also not too heart pain la. Cheap cheap ma. After we added in these bubbles, some boxes wrapped up by the side. Woah! Look at our tree now! Nice right?!
So proud of myself. I did the arranging of the bubbles, wrapped the boxes and arranged it there all myself. Nice. Happy!

Also bought the card board boxes in preparation for my notes come next year.

Actually, I don't have to get it now la. But the color was so adorable and sooo tempting to me that I cannot give it up! I must get it!!

Spend very litte at Ikea today. Only these items + 2 other hanging clothes hanger which we modify to use as shoe racks. So that our messy shoes will not be exposed on the rack and we spent almost the whole afternoon there.

Since their feeder bus was taken from Anchor point, we crossed over and just looked around. Nothing much but these caught my eyes.. so cute!

Mrs Clause Gingerbread house!

We did go in and found out that it's for charity. Either a pack of gingerbread cookies or a HUGE strawberry dripped in chocolate for $2. Wanted to try but we don't fancy gingerbread cookies and neither the strawberry.. so we came out again. Snapped a few pics but no thanks to my lousy hp camera. Most of the pics were wasted! Bleh!

We walked past this dessert store call 味香园 and we went in. The shop looks abit like the Ya Kun toast kind of shop. With it's square stools and square tables. We order a bowl of dessert each. I had the mango sago and hubby had the Gui Ling Gao.

Not bad. But not fantastic either too lor. They also have the yam cakes and all but we are too full from the wings and meatballs to take anything else. Actually, we just wanted somewhere to sit down but cannot be go in and noth order anything right? So bo bian, eat dessert. hahaha..

Took their feeder bus to AMK and we think Emma and Erika will be having dinner at S11, so we decided to take a walk round there to find them and indeed they are! Since, we are both so full from our tea at Ikea & dessert earlier, we just ordered some drinks and sat there to yak with them.

They told us that our photos are in the big poster in church, told us to go and look for it tml when we go mass.

Woah... We so famous huh?! haha.. will go and take a look and see if I can take a pic of myself printed on poster soon then. haha..

By the time we reached home, it was already after 9pm. Then hubby got a call from OBIL and then as I suspected, he asked OBIL to pick up the MP3 player for him as my Christmas present. I'm quite ok with this, really. Then what I overheard over hubby's end of the phone made me pissed off with OBIL. He said he wanna test the set. My reaction? What on earth for? He's not in the shop, test = play with it first lor. Basket. It's MY christmas present, why he gets to play with it first?

Damm pissed and I told hubby I don't want the set anymore. Hubby thinks I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. Nothing wrong mar, he says. But no lor. To me, it matters. It matters alot!!!

I was kind of looking forward to this present, but stupid OBIL got to spoil it all! argg!!!

No wonder my feelings for him is becoming worse and worse and worse!!!

ARGGG!!!

The worse of all these is that silly hubby don't understand my feelings and is not even being sympathetic to me! =(
