4th Wedding Anniversary

Time really flies by quickly and this is already our 4th Wedding Anniversary. So, we took leave on the actual day, 1 Oct 2009, Thursday to spend time together.

Honestly, we did make quite a fair bit of plans.... like Vivo / China Town for brunch, movie, Flyer and then lastly dinner at KPO.

But after working out the traveling and finer details, we decided to just go straight to town for some shopping, ride on the Flyer and lastly dinner.

Headed to Isetan at around noon and we went straight to see if we can get tickets to Cloudy.. I have some Shaw movie vouchers but those cannot be used for the movie and not wanting to spend additional, we decided to not watch any but headed to get my shopping done.

I used up my $60 of Isetan vouchers on Fancl and then we decided to head to McD for brunch.

We could have gone to a nicer place for brunch but I have McD vouchers and we area already going to spend a fair bit on the Flyer as well as dinner so we decided to cut costs and have a simple brunch.

The weather was really nice and we just roam around. Walked over to Ion, spent a short while there and we went to Taka. I was on a quest to Watsons in Taka coz I wanted to buy the MU brushes. I needed badly to wash my 2 brushes at home and I'm handicapped without other brushes... I could have gotten the Body Shop's brushes but those are expensive. 2 brushes would have set me back by at least $50 or so even with discount! The watson's ones only costs me $38 or so for 2 brushes and the quality is quite good. What I like best is that it's eco friendly!

We finally went to ride on the Flyer after getting lost at Ritz... ha! Coz of the F1, there's barricade all round and we have issues trying to find our way out of Ritz!

There's a couple who booked the entire capsule for their ROM ceremony and the capsule is nicely decorated! Quite pretty and so nice, we share the same 'marriage' day! =) Oh.. they went on 2 rounds (or maybe more? I don't know) while we only once. But I guess, 30 mins in the air is enough for us too.

Our turn to get on the capsule and we shared with 3 other foreigners and 4 PRC ppl. Sigh... these PRC are so irritating. Talk damn loud la. The whole cabin can only hear their voice!

But the 3 foreigners are quite nice. 2 of them even volunteered to take our photos for us without us asking!

We had dinner at this Jappy plc, SuKi Ya where we can have buffet sukiyaki or shabu shabu. The meat is nice. Wafer thin and soaks up the soup base. The accompanying sauce is the best! I like it very much! Best of all, it's only $19.90 before GST. No other charges lei.

All in, we had a very nice day. What I enjoyed most was not shopping, the food nor the ride. What I enjoyed the most is the time spent with Hubby! The chit chats, laughter and just the company that we both share.

Happy Anniversary Darling! Love U.

3rd Wedding Anniversary

Time really flies by so quickly! In a blink of an eye, we've been married for 3 years. We don't really plan what to do nor how to celebrate. But we do make sure that we'll spend the day together or at least a meal to commemorate this day, where 3 years ago, we pledge to love, honor and to be with each other till death do us part. This year, very luckily for us, our wedding anniversary falls on a public holiday, Hari Raya Puasa and hence, we don't even have to take leave to spend the day with each other.

I got a voucher for trail massage at Wellness Village Spa for $30 as a cardmember and companion will just need to pay $38 for it. Hubby agreed to go for it and I made a booking for it long ago as I was afraid that they may not accept promotions since its on a PH and we wanted to do it in a couple room.

Luckily for us, the branch at Pan Pacific Hotel was cool with it. Hence, no issue, only condition was that payment got to be made thru the OCBC credit card, hardly an issue at all!

With joy, we made our booking and went on our way! =)

Appointment was at 3pm and we were on time, in fact a few minutes early so we went to the washroom where I took the chance to camwhore. Amelia says the only way to take good self portraits is to practice. Hence, I’m taking her advise! Hahaha…

While waiting for the earlier couple to be ready, we have to fill up the personal particular form and I was done faster than Hubby so, took the chance to snap more photos.Bored hubby and bored me. Nothing much to do while waiting ma. Finally, it’s our turn for the massage!

Inside we have to stripe. So no photos. But the massage ladies are quite good. I really feel quite comfortable, also a little shy at having to bare it all…

After the 1 hour massage, we both felt VERY hungry and we went for a bite…
Yuan Yang, Kopi-C, Raddish Cake and Siew Mai!

We were due for a buffet dinner in another hours' time, so that's all we ordered. Drinks ok. Normal. Raddish Cake not bad. Siew Mai. Don't bother.

Took a slow walk and we crossed over to Suntec for our buffet dinner at Shillawon, which is 2 or 3 doors away from Kuishin Bo.

Food was not bad, but only good if go on weekend or PH as the menu will have more choices.

Pork, Chicken, Beef. All you can eat. They also have small mains like the bim bim bang, noodles, pancakes, soups and other things like salad and other small snacks while waiting for the food to cook.

Oh.. best of all, since there was not much crowd, the waitress could even BBQ and cook the food for us! We just need to write down what we want, they'll serve it onto the table and she cook for us where necessary! All we need to do is write, eat, chat and enjoy! My kind of BBQ! heheheheHere, I wanna rave about the boiled pork belly!!! It's soooo good!!! Yes. Yes. I know. VERY sinful. But the boiled pork belly is really really so good! It simply MELTS in your mouth!

Wrapped it in crunchy greens covered with sauce and kimchi, pop the whole thing into your mouth and just simply let the taste slowly spread all over. WOW!

It's simply delicious lor!
My favourite dish for the night!

Stunned Hubby (before we made a mess of the food).
At the end of the meal, both of us were so full that we had to just sit and wait for the food to be digested.

Got the waitress to help take a shot. Happy Anniversary, Darling. My wish is the same as yours, may we have many many more of such anniversaries!

Love you!

2nd Anniversary

Celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on 30 Sep, 1 day before the actual day since I had lessons last night.

We went to Waraku in Central for our meal. Being the sotong me, I actually made reservations at the Japanese branch and end up at the Pasta branch. Which is just as well since Hubby don't really like Japanese food.

We took a set, which conists of salad, soup, mini pizza, pasta and a glass of wine. =) I like their pizza. Thin and crispy, almost like biscuit kind. Very nice. Hubby had Gratin. Which is quite good too! But I think the best of all is their dessert, Tiramisu with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I'm not a fan of Tiramisu. But this one is really good. Soft and creamy! We thought we were eating cream instead of cake!

Gave him the present I bought, the Titus Watch which he was aiming at for awhile and he was soo happy to receive it.

He really looked like a small boy eagerly unwrapping the present. hehehe...

Yesterday as usual, he'll come to the bus stop to fetch me home and he had a bouquet of roses for me! Nice. I like. (Somehow hor, after marriage, hubby is beginning to buy me flowers lei. I used to not even see a single stalk when we were dating! It's so different as compared to other women who complain that their husbands don't give flowers after marriage but plenty when dating. Mine is the complete opposite!)

Then another surprise awaited me... he bought me a flashing Mario Brother. hahaha... Mario Bro is my FAVOURITE game when I was a kiddo. Now it's coming back and there are times when I feel like getting a Ninetendo just so that I can play Mario Bros. hahahaha I love those colourful mushrooms that's being sold in Action City now too lei!

It was a simple celebration for us. One that we enjoyed and I guess that's the most important. =)A montage of photos taken. Mostly of the food and presents. There's a few shots of hubby too and none of me individually coz I'm the one holding the camera ma. =P

Happy Children's Day

Happy Children's Day to those young at heart =) but more importantly,

Happy Anniversary to Darling!

We celebrate our 2nd year wedding anniversary today too!

Won't have much of a celebration today coz I'll be having lessons tonight. =( So, we celebrated early, went out for a nice dinner yesterday already.

Not much choice la, with the part time studies, celebrations and everything else takes a backseat, all our schedule revolves round my timetable for the time currently. In a few more days to come, our schedules will revolves round OUR lesson timetables too!

If we were not married

Then today would be the 110th month (9 years and 2 months) that we have been dating each other.

But since we are married, the dating date sorts of stop counting and instead, we are counting the days, months and years that we ARE married to each other.

I know, completely bo liao entry. Maybe, in another 10 months time, on this day, I may be tempted to just do another entry of this nature. =D

Sunday, October 1

We are ONE!

Know what big today is?? It’s a very important date and day for Hubby and myself leh!

It’s our FIRST wedding anniversary! October 1, 2006!

Time flies so fast and without us realizing, we are already married for a year.

Things are looking well for the both of us. We are both happy, settled and enjoying married lives. Of course, there are things that have made us disagree with each other and also lead to arguements. But overall, everything is blissful.

Being Sunday, hubby and me went for mass as usual. I'm very touched, some of our friends still remembered our wedding anniversary and wished us well. It's a simple well wish but hey.. it shows that they remember and that is the touching thing.

Then Hubby and me went to Pine Gardens to collect our cake. I din know that hubby really ordered the triple layer chocolate cake for our wedding anniversary! It looks good and tasted heavenly! I like. But the chocolate is really very very thick, after 1 slice each, I felt as though my throat is scratcy already. Dare not eat too much if not sure sore throat!

We both rested for a while and then we went to Manhattan Fish Market @ Dhobby Ghuat for dinner. I have been craving for their food for a while now and we went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary =)

Walked and roamed around abit. Nothing much to buy lar since we just came back from Phuket but nevertheless, hubby still manage to get 2 shirts for himself while I get 2 pairs of bedroom slippers. I know I'm being kaisu la.. but hor, not easy to find cheap and comfy slippers leh.. so since I found it, might as well get it once and for all lor.

Took the bus home and it was a lucky and bless day for us, we din have to wait very long for the bus to and fro home! The ride was pretty smooth also no heavy traffic nor too much jerks! Spent some time watching google boxy and then for shower.

Recently coz we went to Phuket, we were not wearing our wedding bands but instead was wearing the pair that we bought eons ago (this pair much cheaper, no stone no nothing, hence we thought safer to wear it out lor, kiasee ma). Since we came back, we were still wearing it haven't change back... so hubby made his marrige vows to me again and slipped on the actual wedding band on my finger and I did the same too. =)

It was a peaceful, good, quiet and enjoyable day with hubby.

No big celebrations, expensive dinner nor presents but yet, we really enjoyed ourselves in each other company and it's the peace of spending time with each other that I really treasure most.

Happy 1st Year Anniversary, Hubby. I pray that there will be many many many more years to come.

I Love You.
