3rd Wedding Anniversary

Time really flies by so quickly! In a blink of an eye, we've been married for 3 years. We don't really plan what to do nor how to celebrate. But we do make sure that we'll spend the day together or at least a meal to commemorate this day, where 3 years ago, we pledge to love, honor and to be with each other till death do us part. This year, very luckily for us, our wedding anniversary falls on a public holiday, Hari Raya Puasa and hence, we don't even have to take leave to spend the day with each other.

I got a voucher for trail massage at Wellness Village Spa for $30 as a cardmember and companion will just need to pay $38 for it. Hubby agreed to go for it and I made a booking for it long ago as I was afraid that they may not accept promotions since its on a PH and we wanted to do it in a couple room.

Luckily for us, the branch at Pan Pacific Hotel was cool with it. Hence, no issue, only condition was that payment got to be made thru the OCBC credit card, hardly an issue at all!

With joy, we made our booking and went on our way! =)

Appointment was at 3pm and we were on time, in fact a few minutes early so we went to the washroom where I took the chance to camwhore. Amelia says the only way to take good self portraits is to practice. Hence, I’m taking her advise! Hahaha…

While waiting for the earlier couple to be ready, we have to fill up the personal particular form and I was done faster than Hubby so, took the chance to snap more photos.Bored hubby and bored me. Nothing much to do while waiting ma. Finally, it’s our turn for the massage!

Inside we have to stripe. So no photos. But the massage ladies are quite good. I really feel quite comfortable, also a little shy at having to bare it all…

After the 1 hour massage, we both felt VERY hungry and we went for a bite…
Yuan Yang, Kopi-C, Raddish Cake and Siew Mai!

We were due for a buffet dinner in another hours' time, so that's all we ordered. Drinks ok. Normal. Raddish Cake not bad. Siew Mai. Don't bother.

Took a slow walk and we crossed over to Suntec for our buffet dinner at Shillawon, which is 2 or 3 doors away from Kuishin Bo.

Food was not bad, but only good if go on weekend or PH as the menu will have more choices.

Pork, Chicken, Beef. All you can eat. They also have small mains like the bim bim bang, noodles, pancakes, soups and other things like salad and other small snacks while waiting for the food to cook.

Oh.. best of all, since there was not much crowd, the waitress could even BBQ and cook the food for us! We just need to write down what we want, they'll serve it onto the table and she cook for us where necessary! All we need to do is write, eat, chat and enjoy! My kind of BBQ! heheheheHere, I wanna rave about the boiled pork belly!!! It's soooo good!!! Yes. Yes. I know. VERY sinful. But the boiled pork belly is really really so good! It simply MELTS in your mouth!

Wrapped it in crunchy greens covered with sauce and kimchi, pop the whole thing into your mouth and just simply let the taste slowly spread all over. WOW!

It's simply delicious lor!
My favourite dish for the night!

Stunned Hubby (before we made a mess of the food).
At the end of the meal, both of us were so full that we had to just sit and wait for the food to be digested.

Got the waitress to help take a shot. Happy Anniversary, Darling. My wish is the same as yours, may we have many many more of such anniversaries!

Love you!

Birthday Present Revealed.

Between the Bronze and Rose Gold, which was your guess? Was your guess right? =)

Well, I choose the Rose Gold version. Pretty? Quite "antique" looking? I like the floral engravings on it. The face looks huge and big but it fits nicely on my wrist.

Even the clasp has the word "Titus" on it. Despite looking so chunky and big, it's actually very light! I could hardly feel the weight. I was impressed. And City Chain gave me warranty for 2 years for the watch and 5 years for battery. Wow... 5 years for battery is very long!

I think I won't even remember when the battery runs out to go back to City Chain. Think I most likely will just go to any of the shops that sells batteries and then just get it replaced! How the whole watch actually looks like, I snapped this from the brochure and the write up of this watch from the same brochure... "The oval watch is decorated with etched pattern on the case, which shape is echoed by the links of the bracelet. Available in rose gold-coloured, black, gold-coloured brown and stainless steel."

So, it's time to say "Bye Bye" to my current and old Swatch...Evening Only.I quite like this watch actually, the designs are quite outstanding and it's different from the mill of the watches that I've come across. Comparing mine to the online pic, my watch is short of the 2 metal bits on each side between the black and clasps, that's because my wrist is so small!

Come to think of it, when Hubby said this was nicer than the Guess watch that I've eyed, I was rather disappointed! But over the last 3 years, I've sort of grown to love this watch too...

Bye Evening...You have served me well for the last 3 years. I still do like you and definitely will put you to use... Just, not that often anymore.

Early Birthday Present

As the Mr's entry earlier, Hubby decided to bring me to town to walk walk see see look look after work last night.

I heard from Godma that Taka has CNY fair, so we went to take a look after walking past Hereen. The Mr gave me the green light to choose something, anything I like for my Birthday and actually, I have no idea what I would like. I have almost everything! But I was still thrilled with the green light given!

But the Mr seemed keen to get me a watch. And I've been toying with the idea of a new watch for sometime too. But, I still like my current watch, which was also a Birthday present, just 3 years ago. Hence, after dinner, we made our rounds to the malls and shops. Walked into Hereen, nothing catches my eyes.

There's a particular pair of Swatch that I saw a couple of days ago and I was really keen to have a second look and if possible, to try it on. =)

Went into the branch in Hereen to take a look, but it's not there, I saw other similiar designs but nought can match it, I thought. Went to the small counter in Taka too, not there either. Just too bad then. The Mr will have to try to find something for me. =P

Anyway, we went to the basement to take a look at the CNY fair. Finally, I bought Taiwan muah chi! I've been craving them for so long. I'm a very picky muah chi eater. I only eat muah chi that has fillings of fruits. Any others, no thanks.

Besides the muah chi, we did not buy anything, there's only 2 of us in the house and no one is coming (I hope) so not necessary to buy so much. Anway, the shops now are open throughout the 2 days of CNY, not even necessary to stock up food at all! Anytime, want to eat, just go. So convenient these days!

However, the Mr seemed really quite desparate that I pick out something... so we walk around some more and it was really in City Chain that I found another watch that I quite like.

Of course, the price was also quite nice. I can't make up my mind then and there as I really wanted to compare the Swatch to this. Watches got to be tried on before I know if it fits (just like clothes and shoes! All the more since I've got tiny wrists) and moreover the price is about a $100 difference lei! Yet, I cannot find that Swatch in Town! It was at this point in time that Hubby suggested we go back to J8.

First thing, both City Chain and Swatch are neighbours in J8. Second thing, we have to go back to J8 to head for home. Just that we can take bus from town. But since, we've found somthing that I really die die must make a comparision, we can take MRT back too. But I was quite surprised that the Mr seemed so kan cheong to get it. My Birthday is not till another 3 weeks or thereabouts! Maybe he thought, since we are already out, might as well ba. But, he told me later, buy now, then I can wear it for CNY too. hahaha... so sweet of him to even think of it!

Finally, we managed to reach both shops in J8 and yes, I can make my comparisions. I had my eyes on this since a couple of weeks ago!

"Gleam of the Light"

I really like the chain. It seems so unique and I love the way the rose gold and silver is being combined together to give off this classy and fashionable timepiece. Best of all, I thought, it matches our wedding band perfectly!

But the Mr had made a very good observation. He told me, this watch will be very tough and difficult to wear. As it's closed by (I've no idea what is the name of this kind of hook!!) the necklace / bracelect kind of closure, not the usual watch clasp.

Wow! Very good point that he has made but it did not occur to me then. And his point became even more apparent when I tried it on! Yar! Very difficult to handle. I'm sure I will not be able to wear this watch on my own, especially if I'm pressed for time!

And somehow, when the watch is on my wrist, the circular things get 'crushed' together and it loses it's shape. =/

Worse is, when the chain is so glam looking, the face of the watch is very very plain. It shows up even more when it's being worn!

We tropped back to City Chain and got the other watch I've tried earlier and yes. Still like it and it fits better too. Decided to get it but the headache came soon as well. What colour to choose?!

I love the Bronze and Rose Gold. Both looks good on my hand and I like both. Rose Gold makes my skin looks lighter and brighter and both the face and chain of the watch has a very nice matching edge to it.

The bronze on the other hand, has a very glam feel towards it, perfect for those night occassions that we sometimes go. It's an outstanding piece even by itself! And I can see that as it sits on my hands, eyes are being drawn to it. Yes! It's THAT outstanding! And I really do quite like it too!

Very headache over which to choose and we decided to get it right away as there was a 20% discount. If we missed the promotion, the watch will costs more than $300!

Want to help hubby save the $$, so I made up my mind after much deliberation and also some advise from the SA.

Make a guess as to which color I choose and I shall reveal it to you in my next post... because, I cannot find a pic of the watch online, hence I have to go home to take pics, upload then can share. =P

But meanwhile, I'm very happy and excited over my new watch but Hubby says, the earliest I can wear is CNY wor.... =(

Cute Little Human Beings!

Had early Christmas lunch with Clement, Vic and their family.

I think we discovered a rather good place in future to hold our SW gatherings; since that place has a rather good ambiance, centralized and best of all, not crowded!

That place is non other than TCC in Millenia Walk!

Today is the last weekend before Christmas and from the time we were there till the time we left, the place was never full! There was a good crowd but NEVER full! So, it's good for us the next time we have a gathering.

Anyway, the main focus was of course on the 2 little Babies that came with the parents. While the adults eat and talk, the Babies also have their way of making their presence felt and NOTICED!

Wei Lun got his attention by eating what the parents eat! He's at that age already where he wants Adult Food! So fast lei! And he sure loves it lor. Kept coming back for more and his cries were what we heard whenever the mommy got a little slow in bringing that spoon full of goodies to his mouth!

After he woke up from his afternoon nap, the little thing just wanted to get down on the floor and want mommy to carry. See! Struggling so hard! Even daddy seems to be having trouble holding him still lor!

But of course, I'm most enamored over my little darling. Ok, I'm not really ready for photos (looking sleepy, but I think that's also because, the photographer is sitting down, shooting up while I'm standing up looking down hence the downcast eyes) but the thing is, this is the FIRST photo that Clara and I are both looking at the camera! Cute, little thing!

She's really a very responsive child. As she grows older, she has more expressions and her little pair of lungs are getting stronger and stronger by the day! The moment we talk to her, she will smile at us too!! Oh my gosh.. I'm sooo enchanted with her!!!

Today is the first time that Godpa carried her and I think she loves it. Clara "talking" to Godpa. She smiles and also coo back at him. Some more so matching lei! Both also in PINK! I jealous lor!!!!

After both babies woke up, they spent some time getting to know each other. Can I safely assume that both Babies like each other enough? They seem to be happy playing with each other. Though Wei Lun Gor Gor seemed abit shy and Clara just seems to be enjoying herself very much!

Of course, the daddy took lots of photos, but Godpa took this of her just before we went on our way while I was carrying her. Just look at the little darling. She's sooooooo cute!!!!
She kept her neck down and then her "bao bao" just seem to swell up and she looked so grumpy! But I can assure you, she is very smiley and playful throughout! Then the more Jer tired to take her photos, the more grumpy she became.

SOOOOOOOOO cute!!!!

Jer said she looks like a little hamster, one that stores up all the food in the cheeks... hahahahah... To me, she's just soo adorable and cute!

How not to fall in love and go gaga over her, you tell me!

Birthday Celebration

This is long overdue. But I've been so busy, I really did not have the time to do it. Better late than never, so here it is.

Brought Hubby to SOFRA to celebrate his Bday in advance after his lessons and mass.
The food was quite good, but too much meat for my liking. I think hubby enjoyed it though. We had kabab and skewers of meat. All quite nice! The environment is also quite cozy! I like the spaciousness of the whole restaurant where they had a big area for guests to wait for tables.

Being a Saturady, the restaurant was of course quite pack and full of families. Surprisingly, it wasn't that noisy. Just the usual buzz.

There's also a half wall glass panel where we can see what the chefs are doing and there's 1 eye candy in there! =P

It was a nice dinner but the bleh thing was we got into an arguement over something which I cannot remember the full details now, but it has got something to do with further education... Masters? or something like that la.

Anway, on hubby's actual Birthday, I rushed down to J8 and got him a cake from Breadtalk. Tapowed dinner (Yaki Tori) and all, then proceed to rush home to 'hide' the dinner and cake. Cannot let him see the Yaki Tori ma. If he sees it then he knows I've been to J8 then he sure suspect got a cake somewhere!

So being the very clever wife that I am, I hid the dinner in the toaster and arrange the items in the fridge so that he won't see it. And true enough, he walked past once, twice and NEVER suspect nor see anything! =)

Many many candles for the Birthday man...
Another year older, 1 more mini candle to the already alot pile.

Presented the cake to him and sang him Birthday Song. He looked so pleased... Like a small boy.

That silly man... blowing out candles... Can look so grumpy some more.

Rasberry....Super sour lor! >.<

Finally cutting the cake!Without all the things, look so ugly.. some more the candles melted... Wax all over!

Some multilayered mini Lychee thingy cake... Look like Kueh Lapis...

Anyways... Happy Birthday, Darling! =)

2nd Anniversary

Celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary on 30 Sep, 1 day before the actual day since I had lessons last night.

We went to Waraku in Central for our meal. Being the sotong me, I actually made reservations at the Japanese branch and end up at the Pasta branch. Which is just as well since Hubby don't really like Japanese food.

We took a set, which conists of salad, soup, mini pizza, pasta and a glass of wine. =) I like their pizza. Thin and crispy, almost like biscuit kind. Very nice. Hubby had Gratin. Which is quite good too! But I think the best of all is their dessert, Tiramisu with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I'm not a fan of Tiramisu. But this one is really good. Soft and creamy! We thought we were eating cream instead of cake!

Gave him the present I bought, the Titus Watch which he was aiming at for awhile and he was soo happy to receive it.

He really looked like a small boy eagerly unwrapping the present. hehehe...

Yesterday as usual, he'll come to the bus stop to fetch me home and he had a bouquet of roses for me! Nice. I like. (Somehow hor, after marriage, hubby is beginning to buy me flowers lei. I used to not even see a single stalk when we were dating! It's so different as compared to other women who complain that their husbands don't give flowers after marriage but plenty when dating. Mine is the complete opposite!)

Then another surprise awaited me... he bought me a flashing Mario Brother. hahaha... Mario Bro is my FAVOURITE game when I was a kiddo. Now it's coming back and there are times when I feel like getting a Ninetendo just so that I can play Mario Bros. hahahaha I love those colourful mushrooms that's being sold in Action City now too lei!

It was a simple celebration for us. One that we enjoyed and I guess that's the most important. =)A montage of photos taken. Mostly of the food and presents. There's a few shots of hubby too and none of me individually coz I'm the one holding the camera ma. =P

Happy Children's Day

Happy Children's Day to those young at heart =) but more importantly,

Happy Anniversary to Darling!

We celebrate our 2nd year wedding anniversary today too!

Won't have much of a celebration today coz I'll be having lessons tonight. =( So, we celebrated early, went out for a nice dinner yesterday already.

Not much choice la, with the part time studies, celebrations and everything else takes a backseat, all our schedule revolves round my timetable for the time currently. In a few more days to come, our schedules will revolves round OUR lesson timetables too!

First Month

Clara had her First Month celebration yesterday. And the only picture I managed to get is her basket of red eggs.=/ Which sucks big time!

And I also din manage to carry her as there were alot of her relatives there and all wanted to carry the little darling.

Victor & family came as well and their prince was there to entertained us... But at the rate we were playing with him, I'm not sure if it's us entertaining him.

And out of the sooo many shots of him, I only have this clear shot. Heh! A "Tigger" Boy!

I think I'll go find the Piglet outfit for Clara. Since she's born in the year of pig too.

Anyone has their babies dressed in the Pooh and that Eeyore outfit? Should put all these babies together and together they can be real life "Pooh and Friends!"

Sunday, August 5

Kiddie Toy

Went shopping with Hubby earlier at Causeway and we got this...for Alfie's BB.

Sooner or later will have to get something and since we had nothing on and there was also a storewide sale or something, we decided to get a toy for his 2nd child First month in advance.

We thought no point getting clothes since the elder girl will pass on the clothes, so toy will be better ba.

Quite cute hor these kiddies' toy.. So full of colors, sounds and textures! I also fall in love with it! And over at Causeway, there were so many babies around. Gosh, kind of afraid to walk. Really, coz these kiddies won't bother which way they are walking. Furthermore, they barely reach up to my knee and I almost walk straight into them (different kiddies of course) throughout the whole time we were there!

And in a matter of hours, we'll also be going to Naomi's First Month celebration.. and here's the present for the little darling! This year is really a good year for Babies. So many of my friends are either preggy or gave brith already! Not to mention, my darling God-child will be making her grand arrival in a mere matter of weeks now!!

Can't wait! =)

Sunday, April 8

End to the Easter break.

Early this morning, we woke up and made our way to town. Not for anymore shopping, but for the baptism of my new God siblings at 12, noon (Yes, NOON!) in St Joseph's Church in Victoria Street.
Went for a filling breakfast since we forsee that we will not be able to get any food till at least 3pm. After some ponders and wonders, we decided to go for prata and check out my 'teh chino'!Big right?! But hor, the uncle got problem. I asked for cold and I was still given warm. chey.... and when he was taking our orders, he asked till so detailed and yet, still wrong orders. Bleh. Anyway, I decided I don't like it. Much too sweet. =(

Proceed to St Joseph for the baptism service... er... Nothing much to say. Except, it was much much much toooooo warm and the baptismal font was sooooooo far to the left, we cannot see anything at all! The echo was quite bad in the church as well and frankly, hubby and I was getting quite fraustrated with the heat and the long long long process!

Anyway, a picture of my new God Siblings, together with Godma and the rest of my other God siblings. Short of 2 of them. Nick is in hospital and Vivien was having lessons till 5pm. So, needless to say, those 2 in white are the new addition to the family. Welcome, Joseph Terrence and Mabel! =) Must call me "Da Jie" lor. hahahahaha

Finally, after all the photo takings, we went for tea! Much much awaited tea! We were all famished! And during tea, we were all so hungy, I forgot to take any pics!

But look at this... EASTER EGG!!!! (My first time, receiving Easter Eggs!) so cute right?! Hand made by one of the sponsors lei! So sweet of her! And she also made 'hot cross buns' too. Of course, by the time, we actually eat the buns, it was no longer hot. And I hope, it wasn't cross anymore. Hahaha... It should be 'cool happy bun'!

1 for hubby and 1 for me! (no need to say which is mine right?) It took me such a long long time, before, I finally bare to make a hole and actually eat it! =( And I do feel pretty sad after cracking it open!!! I was trying so hard to open the smallest hole possible! But from the look of it... I did not do a very good job horz... =(

Easter Egg or rather, what's left of mine. =/

Final, couple egg-y shot before Hubby bring his egg home. It's lying on the stove now. Waiting for me to crack it opened for tomorrow's breakfast?! hahahaha...

Enough about eggs, I guess. Hubby and I went to Bugis Junction for a walk. We were both feeling rather tired out from the whole day in the warm chuch, hence no mood to really walk.

But being the highly effective shopping queen that I am, it took me less than 10 mins to get these! How can I miss it right? Pink discs lor.. haha... Just nice. My first sem in SIM is ending, I can do all my backup for this sem on the CD rather than just saving it on my PC. What if my hard disk crash?? Then, "God Bless me" liao lor. Nice and cute hor? And also, continue the rate that I am eating, I've very sure, pretty soon, I'll be looking like the bug too! =(

And I finally got my card holder!
It's at some shop, that I cannot even remember the name. Was eyeing the COACH ones... but hello... for more than a $100 just to hold some cards... forget it la... save up that kind of money instead. It's after all, just a card holder lor. Though of course, if $$$ is not an issue, I would still LOVE to have the COACH card holder. =)

Nice day to end my Easter Holy week celebrations. But hmm... hubby and me are such spoilt brats... we mentally and verbally agree with each other that, the next baptism, if Godma asks us to go and support... we ah.... will show our support mentally if it's held in an un air-conditioned church and join in for the makan session. But if it's in an air conditioned church, we will be there.

Yes, Yes I know. Spoit brats... but really. We cannot concentrate and less than halfway thru the service. We were figetting so much and feeling very very pek chek. Might as well, we don't do if that's how we really really feel right? I think I can still pray for them at home lor.

Hai... spoilt brats! *tsk*tsk*tsk*

Saturday, April 7

Happy BDay, Momsy.

Celebrated Momsy's bday a day in advance with these... Feast from Pizza Hut, which includes the Seafood, the Hawaiian, 2 Garlic Bread and 20 piece of Drumlets for er... just 4 of us.... wah lau... so much food lor. Over ordered! Coz sis din say she's joining her friends for lunch! Bleh...

So much for my abstainence from meat for this weekend too lor.

Gave momsy the lipstick I bought from Clarins and she seemed excited at a wrapped up box. hahaha... must be a long long time that she received a wrapped up present lor. hahaha...

Finally, unwrapped the present and she immediately went to try it. She use soooooo little, I can hardly see the colour. But she seems happy with it and I think that's all that matters. =)

Happy Birthday, Momsy.

Go and nap now. Will be having a long long night later, during Easter Vigil.

Monday, March 12

Happy Time.

Picture says a Thousand Words right? So, can guess what this it? Yups, the chinese character for "double happiness" and when will this appear? Weddings! =) Hubby and I just came back from Serene & Sunny's wedding dinner at Carlton Hotel. This is my 2nd wedding dinner there, in the same ballroom too!

I cannot remember much about the ambience... neither can I remember the "Wedding Favour" of the previous couple who got married there...

Serene and her new husbad's "Thank You Favour" is rose buds in test tubes, tied in red organza. So pretty. At first glance, we really thought it was Test Tube rose or something like that.. Till we looked at the instructions, then we realised that it's rose buds for making tea! So clever lor. My "cleverity" at work again. =S

I must say, this time round, the food served is good! We enjoyed it every much! =) And, a few of our friends did not turn up, end up, our table only have 7 adults... then halfway, only left with 5, since another couple had to leave earlier to get ready for their drive to JB for golf. Sooo good!!! Can go short holiday.. I also want.. but holiday I don't have... school visit bright and early, I have! =(Thank goodness Lyn and Max were there too and they gave us a ride back, else, we got to take public transport and reach home at goodness knows what time and tomorrow (or rather later) is a working day too. Worse, since I have a school visit early in the morning, must reach office earlier than normal lei! So, all in all, still very blessed that we have a ride home. =) Tks Max and Lyn!

Before going for the dinner, Emma, Hubby and I went for the Sunset Mass in Good Shephard, since we were all lazy to go to CTK for mass in the morning, go home and then go out again. So we decided to go for the last mass and best is that Good Shephard is diagionally opposite to Carlton. Even the timing for mass works perfectly for us! So very happily, we all met up for mass.

Emma bought me this... Some sort of shimmering eye shadow. Which I think is gaining popularity in Taiwan and I heard Korea?Anyway, she got me if for me to try. Have'nt used it yet. But the name sounds so yummy... FONDUE Shadow. The only Fondue I know is that kind where I dipped my fruits/ice-cream/mashmellows into a pot of warm chocolate and pops it into my mouth kind.. I'm sure gonna try how out this Fondue Shadow will taste..opps! LOOK on my eyes!

I saw the brochure of Bobbi Brown and purple seems to be the 'in' colour this season... I must go and update the colours of my cosmestics! =)
