NICE!!!

Emma came back from Hawaii and got us this as a Souvenir. Super pretty isn't it?!

Hand curved candle crucufix and with a light scent of pineapple. It's so pretty!!!I can't bare to light it up.

Have placed it at the altar after asking Fr Yim to bless it. I know he did say that, items that are blessed are supposed to be used. And I remember his pray went something like this "May Your (God) light be them and show them Your light." But it's so pretty... I can't bear to use it. We still have our Baptism candles on the altar, we also cannot bear to use it too coz it's OUR baptismal candle. Wait and see how la... Maybe, 1 fine day, we will use it after all...

Went to see Nic again after lunch and he was sleeping, so we din disturb him, left him a note on the tapowed fried rice (he told us, he was craving for it on Friday night when we visited) and we left.

I had to go to Hub again, coz I told my mom that I'll bring a "Pork Kunckles" for dinner and told her that she does not need to cook so much. So no choice, I have to bring some food over. Uncle Jeff dropped us at J8 and guess what?! I saw the motocycle bag (that I ordered thru the spree) being sold at Charles and Keith! Excited, I went to check out the price, and when I saw it, I was darn happy!! It was at least $10 MORE expensive lei!!! hahahaha...

After checking out the bag, I went to hub. Was on the MRT together with Emma who's on her way home. Hubby was already feeling cranky so I asked him to go home first... anyway, it's good that he go home first, else I would'nt have the chance to try and buy this!!!hahaha... Nice right?! So yar... again, spend some more... but nice lor... Quickly went to get my 'prok knuckles' from NTUC and rushed home, since I still wanna do up my assignment and also, I cannot be outside for too long, else Hubby will know that I went shopping again!

There's still that skirt that I've been eyeing for sometime that I've yet to get... =(

Had dinner at my parents, and yups, the pork knuckles was indeed good, every single piece was gone! Once home, it was time to sit at the tablet and typed typed typed for my assignment once again.

When will this bug leave me?

I've really been spending lots of $$$ these few days =(

Yesterday, before dinner at Botak, Irene and I went to Hub for lunch and I got myself 2 tops...

Then after meeting Clara, her parents, Cindy and Naomi at J8 for lunch in MOS, we went to walk around and I got something else again.

This time, it's 3 CD's!

To be fair to myself, I've not been buying any CD for the last 1 year (at least!) The last CD I bought was Jay's 七里香 album. So, today, I bought his last year's album. Yups. It took me THIS long to finally buy his album,依然范特西. But the good news is, it only costs me a mere $9.90! hahaha..

I saw Gary's "Superman" and I was too tempted. I like 2 of his songs.... so I got that as well.... and the ironic thing was, I went into Sembawang Music Store, wanting to just get the disc to "Phantom of the Opera" instead, I got an additional 2 more Disc. But both of these additional does not even add up to the costs of the Phantom!

So, in a mere 2 days, I've spent another $100 or so again. The tops are rather cheap... about $50 for both or less... and the CD's costs me a grand total of $60++. =( Hopefully, I can physo hubby to sponsor me for the CDs? Or at least share share the costs with me? =)

Put the CD into the player and we both spent at least an hour sitting there, enjoying the music. It was till much much later that we both decided to move our ass to get the housework done!!!

Damn Good Dinner.

Finally the time has come to buy a "farewell dinner" for 1 of my dear friend. She's leaving SG and joining her family back in Malaysia. I know M'sia is not that far, but after she goes back, it's definately not so simple and convenient to see and meet her anymore.

She has been craving for Botak Jones ever since we told her it's good and we diecided to buy her her dinner there.

All of us were so busy with our awesome food. We forgot to take group photos and also not all the food ordered were shown here. I missed the Cajun Burger , Tuna Sandwich and Fish & Chips. =/

As usual, we yaked and yaked and after dinner, we all decided to go TTSH to visit another of our dear friend.

But hor, we all dilly dally and by the time we reached TTSH, it was almost 10 PM!!! Gosh... Luckily, Nic is feeling up to it and he could chat with us for more than an hour before he got tired.

= really praying for him that the test (on Monday morning)will go well and he will be bless with a CLEAN bill of health!

Just for you Darling.

Feeling rather tired out from the whole day of work and I took this quiz, "Can You Make Anyone Fall in Love With You?" from blogthings or something like that.

and the verdict....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You Can Make 65% of Your Crushes Fall in Love With You

Your seduction skills are practically legendary. You know how to close the deal.
Just don't let someone you're really into get the better of you!
As long as you keep up your end of the flirting game, you'll get the prize at the end.

So, Darling, are you begining to be afraid yet? *hee*hee*

just LOOK at the time!

I find it hard to believe that I'm actually blogging at THIS time! My goodness....

I guess, this will be the first of many times that I'll be waking up so early while hubby is still sound asleep on the warm cozy bed. And why on earth I woke up so darn early right?

Well, for the fact that I actually wash clothes? Made soup the traditional boiling way and to fix breakfast, of course!

Not that I'm great or what, for a fact, Godma wakes up at 5.30 EVERY single day be it weekdays or weekends, all for the family, breakfast, food, chores, marketing... etc etc...

I guess, the female species is always the one who will do all these, and I think, even for me, it's no difference. Imagine, next time, with school going children in the morning session, I guess, usually the "mommy" will wake up early to prepare the kid and the "daddy" will have the responsibility of sending the kid to school if he drives, else, the mommy still have to bring the kid to take school bus or whatsoever...

Bottom line? I guess, mothers are always the self sacrificing creatures. Everything is done without grumbles or even a single word of "Thanks" is needed for all that are done.

Kind of feeling nostaglic this morning, I guess. Really, it's only after getting married, having to take care of the house and sometimes hubby makes me appreciate my momsy more!

Mothers' Day is coming... LOL.

Anway, left the washing machine running, soup boiling and I must get back to it soon... The fact that I woke up at 5.30am to do all this still sorts of lingers in my mind... coz I, myself find it unbelievable that I'm waking up so early to do all these!

P/S: The alarm rang for 1 straight minute before I woke up! And I think it's mre of the rain that woke me rather than the alarm. Maybe I should change the alarm sound to "Thunder and Raindrops". =D

Yummy Dinner!

The revamped coffeeshop near our home is finally opened! We went on Sunday to have the famous "Tiong Bahru Zhui Kueh" before mass but the queue was sooo long, no choice but to eat other things instead.

And today, we made plans to go to PIL's plc for dinner but no one was home and there was no food at home, so hubby suggested going to this same

coffeeshop for dinner. Which I readily agree to!

The revamped plc looks big, feels airy and the stores looks so welcoming, unlike the previous time. I wanted to try the roast meat stall but the queue was sooooooo long, so I took this instead.Mutton Brani. Comes with achar. Achar was too sweet for my liking. But the brani is nice! Soft and fagrant, though it does not look exactally nice from the pic... and what is curry without papadum right? So I got 2 packs to go with it. The main course, Mutton is very nice too! Tender and flavourful! Nice!! I like, will go back and eat again. =)

Hubby got the Mexican Chicken GrillWhich turns out to be rather disappointing after a long wait. Chicken was sooo tiny!!! I doubt it filled his stomach. But thank God for my brani, hubby took a few mouthfuls from mine, so I guess, that ought to make it up.

Next time, I wanna try the roast meat, the fish soup!!! *drools*

Mini Gathering

Had lunchie with the girlies and their families in Swensens after mass today. So the 6 of us (Max & Lynn, Gab, Carmen & Channie, Hubby & me) + 1 BB trooped off towards our destination.

Despite not having made a reservation, we did not have to wait too long. Good! We were all getting a little famished.

Hubby had the "Fish in Cheese"which has no taste of the cheese whatsoever. -_-" and I had the "Beefy Burritos"which was actualy quite nice! =) Topped off everything with a sinful "Chocolate Overload"Isn't that a G-R-E-A-T lunch?! And of course, while waiting, we chatted and play with BB Channie. She's really such a darling, so cute. The best was, she will just look at hubby and smile so cutely and sweetly at him! Such a dear!!! hahaha...

After the long long lunch, we collected these. Finally! After making the internet booking so long ago, we collected the tickets. And the truth is, I CAN'T wait to go!!!

Phantom! Here WE come!!! =D

First Time

Ordered food for dinner coz
1) we were too lazy to go out to buy food
2) I was too lazy to cook
3) Hubby was recovering from his cough and flu
4) I wanted to try.

So in the end, we got these...I cannot remember what set it was.... but it consisted of
1) a 10" Teriyaki Beef Pizza
2) some salad
3) 3 piece of Mochiko Wings and I think 6 pieces of breaded scallops.

I enjoyed the wings very much. Nice! But the rest... ermm.... I think I prefer Pizza Hut pizzas by way of comparision lor.

Anyway, cannot finished the pizza, saved the last 2 pieces and some scallops for breakfast for tml before going to CTK for mass.

The above can be bought at Oishi Pizza. They do delivery in certain areas la. But like I said, I only like the wings. Or maybe I ordered the wrong pizza? Anyone has any flavours to recommend?

Oh, when I say "first time" I mean it was the 'first time' we had Oishi Pizza hor... and definately NOT the first time that we do a 'ordered' dinner lor... LOL.

End to the Easter break.

Early this morning, we woke up and made our way to town. Not for anymore shopping, but for the baptism of my new God siblings at 12, noon (Yes, NOON!) in St Joseph's Church in Victoria Street.
Went for a filling breakfast since we forsee that we will not be able to get any food till at least 3pm. After some ponders and wonders, we decided to go for prata and check out my 'teh chino'!Big right?! But hor, the uncle got problem. I asked for cold and I was still given warm. chey.... and when he was taking our orders, he asked till so detailed and yet, still wrong orders. Bleh. Anyway, I decided I don't like it. Much too sweet. =(

Proceed to St Joseph for the baptism service... er... Nothing much to say. Except, it was much much much toooooo warm and the baptismal font was sooooooo far to the left, we cannot see anything at all! The echo was quite bad in the church as well and frankly, hubby and I was getting quite fraustrated with the heat and the long long long process!

Anyway, a picture of my new God Siblings, together with Godma and the rest of my other God siblings. Short of 2 of them. Nick is in hospital and Vivien was having lessons till 5pm. So, needless to say, those 2 in white are the new addition to the family. Welcome, Joseph Terrence and Mabel! =) Must call me "Da Jie" lor. hahahahaha

Finally, after all the photo takings, we went for tea! Much much awaited tea! We were all famished! And during tea, we were all so hungy, I forgot to take any pics!

But look at this... EASTER EGG!!!! (My first time, receiving Easter Eggs!) so cute right?! Hand made by one of the sponsors lei! So sweet of her! And she also made 'hot cross buns' too. Of course, by the time, we actually eat the buns, it was no longer hot. And I hope, it wasn't cross anymore. Hahaha... It should be 'cool happy bun'!

1 for hubby and 1 for me! (no need to say which is mine right?) It took me such a long long time, before, I finally bare to make a hole and actually eat it! =( And I do feel pretty sad after cracking it open!!! I was trying so hard to open the smallest hole possible! But from the look of it... I did not do a very good job horz... =(

Easter Egg or rather, what's left of mine. =/

Final, couple egg-y shot before Hubby bring his egg home. It's lying on the stove now. Waiting for me to crack it opened for tomorrow's breakfast?! hahahaha...

Enough about eggs, I guess. Hubby and I went to Bugis Junction for a walk. We were both feeling rather tired out from the whole day in the warm chuch, hence no mood to really walk.

But being the highly effective shopping queen that I am, it took me less than 10 mins to get these! How can I miss it right? Pink discs lor.. haha... Just nice. My first sem in SIM is ending, I can do all my backup for this sem on the CD rather than just saving it on my PC. What if my hard disk crash?? Then, "God Bless me" liao lor. Nice and cute hor? And also, continue the rate that I am eating, I've very sure, pretty soon, I'll be looking like the bug too! =(

And I finally got my card holder!
It's at some shop, that I cannot even remember the name. Was eyeing the COACH ones... but hello... for more than a $100 just to hold some cards... forget it la... save up that kind of money instead. It's after all, just a card holder lor. Though of course, if $$$ is not an issue, I would still LOVE to have the COACH card holder. =)

Nice day to end my Easter Holy week celebrations. But hmm... hubby and me are such spoilt brats... we mentally and verbally agree with each other that, the next baptism, if Godma asks us to go and support... we ah.... will show our support mentally if it's held in an un air-conditioned church and join in for the makan session. But if it's in an air conditioned church, we will be there.

Yes, Yes I know. Spoit brats... but really. We cannot concentrate and less than halfway thru the service. We were figetting so much and feeling very very pek chek. Might as well, we don't do if that's how we really really feel right? I think I can still pray for them at home lor.

Hai... spoilt brats! *tsk*tsk*tsk*

Happy BDay, Momsy.

Celebrated Momsy's bday a day in advance with these... Feast from Pizza Hut, which includes the Seafood, the Hawaiian, 2 Garlic Bread and 20 piece of Drumlets for er... just 4 of us.... wah lau... so much food lor. Over ordered! Coz sis din say she's joining her friends for lunch! Bleh...

So much for my abstainence from meat for this weekend too lor.

Gave momsy the lipstick I bought from Clarins and she seemed excited at a wrapped up box. hahaha... must be a long long time that she received a wrapped up present lor. hahaha...

Finally, unwrapped the present and she immediately went to try it. She use soooooo little, I can hardly see the colour. But she seems happy with it and I think that's all that matters. =)

Happy Birthday, Momsy.

Go and nap now. Will be having a long long night later, during Easter Vigil.

Bird Flu?

When Hubby and I came home earlier after CTK and window shopping at Hub, we saw this and this just at the slope leading up to our block! (sorry ah... I had to use the max zoom and it seem grainy now, coz it was taken at level 3)

These 2 birdies were lying within 100m of just each other!

Is this a cause of concern and should I be getting worried now?!!!

Or should I be calling NEA or goodness knows who else to monitor?

How? hOw? HOW???

Monday, April 2

is it me or is it u?

I don't know why, but these last few days, we've just been having cold wars, tiffs on and off.

The worse is, at this moment, I cannot remember what happened yesterday to cause me to be upset at u. Yet, I only remember the negative feelings that I am habouring inside me, since yesterday till now.

And, just now, because of a trival thing, I lost my cool too. I simply hate it when after doing a set of chores, realised, there's other things to be done. This something is what u could have done to make our live better too. Must wait for me to do?

I also hate it when I want to settle down to study / do to my TMA, u keep talking. I was ironing, u could have tell me about ur day or whatever it was that you wanna share. Must wait till I want to study then talk.

ARGG!!

Ok... I got to buck up. I cannot let myself sink so low and just think of all the horrible moments that we shared. Our lives cannot be just misery. What's the point of staying married or getting married if we are both perpetually miserable?!

So... Yups. U have been more proactive recently. Earlier, when I needed to hang my laundry, though you were watching TV, u came to help.

When I was struggling with the ironing board, you helped me flatten it.

Also, for the last few weeks, I've noticed that you boil water without me telling / asking you to.

All these are good signs =)

All right. I shall not dwell on all those times when you irriate me. I shall and must focus on your strengths instead.

*Mental note to self: Look at the good things! Look at the good things!*

One Week At the Job

I have spent one week at my new job place. Well everything is going fine, and everyday I am just reading up the manual. Still waiting for my training. My sup. everyday come only after 10am and sometimes dont even come to the office. So my training have been postone day after day.

Before, I went for my previous job as an investment consultant, I have an experience where I was going to pass something to another person and I went to the wrong floor. It seem to me that the experience is telling me that the first time, or the first thing which I meet or take will not be the one for me. Then when I went for the interview at my previous company, I went to the wrong floor again. From there, I have a bit of doubt about my time in that company. Then finally this job comes and it has the same natural as the investment consulant which is sales. So I guess this is the correct job for me :)
