Birthday was a simple affair.
My mom actually told me, "Don't come home for dinner har. (We usually go back for dinner on Sunday) and she said, I'm going to the Flyer. Not cooking."
So sad lor.
My own mother din even bother to cook anything for me lei. =( But then again, she and my father are 2 persons that choose tor remember my Chinese Bday rather than the ang mo Bday.
So, with no dinner. Hubby brought me out for dinner.

We ordered the butter and chili crab with 10 pieces of the bun. Finished every single bit of crab and bun.

Post dated - Valentines' Day 2009
I finally have the chance to sit down to blog about my VDay (or lack) of it.
As like any normal Saturday, we woke up late, and usually I wake up first. With hubby still snoring on bed, I would have separated the dark and the light colored clothing and throw the first load into the washing machine.
At this point in time, hubby usually wakes up and we just laze around waiting for the laundry. Once it's done and out in the sun, we'll be going down to the nearby coffeeshop for brunch.
Come back, wash the 2nd load. Into the sun it goes too.
That evening, we went for mass at Church of the Holy Spirit at Thomson followed by dinner at Thomson Plaza. We had Sushi Tei. One of my preferred Japanese restaurants.
And that's that lor.
No frills, no fancy. No presents even!
Were we always this boring? Or we just got older and older and we don't see the need to celebrate it on purpose?
After all, everyday can be Valentine's Day isn't it? (Sounds cliche I know.) Maybe I am trying to make myself feel better.
But honestly, I don't mind it a single bit. Nice, cozy dinner with hubby and we had fun, laughter and good food. Enough.
Contended already lor...

大年初八
And it's the first day of CNY that I start work.
I must say, not a bad day to start work. Besides clearing emails, answering some emails, print and send out letters to the schools for a competition, I was pretty much left alone! =)
Only thing was, early early in the morning, when I was preparing to go out, I realized, I've misplaced my earrings!! *Horrors* That pair of earrings costs me more than $2k lei. I just cannot remember where I've placed it and I just cannot find it in the box I keep my daily jewelery or on the table.
Hurriedly, Hub and I try to recall when was the last time I last worn it and where on earth did I leave it. I was pretty sure that the last time I worn it was on the 1st day of CNY and after that, as we did not go anywhere fancy, I did not wear it anymore. And I cannot even remember where I've placed it!!!
Worried about it the whole day but also no choice, just cannot recall and not at home to check.
Later in the day, Hubby asked me if I could have placed it in the cupboard in the toilet and he assured me that I must have left it there after I last worn it.
Felt a little better but still...worried la.
Reached home and immediately after I closed and locked the doors, throwing everything (my dinner, snacks and tml's breakfast) on the dinning table, I dashed into the toilet to check.
WOW!
Hubby deserves a big hug! My earrings are there. Safe and Sound!
Hooray!!
Heng ar... Did not loose anything. I'm happy.
And come to think of it.... I must have forgotten to remove my earrings (oh yes. I have a habbit of removing all my jewelery before taking my shower... the jewelers told me, if I don't, the metals and stone will get tarnished easily, hence, I've made it a point to remove everything... thing is, remove and cannot remember where I left it!) before going for my shower that day. When I was about to wash my face, then I realized I still have my earrings on, so I took it out and the only safe place was in the cupboard! It was so safe. Out of sight, out of mind, truly.
Now, I will just have to make even more stringent mental notes to myself.
Take out everything in the room, leave it in the small box! Getting old, cannot afford to have such "heart attacks" anymore!

It's everybody's Birthday!!! =)
Happy Birthday to one and all!
We went for mass at CTK in the morning and then dropped by Courts in AMK, I wanted to take a look at the HP mobile phone as I am contemplating one... But oh well, they don't have it, so too bad.
I think at this moment in time, I should be getting the Samsung Omnia. If I can convince myself that it is all right to be using the same model as my mgr and another colleague (all in the same department!) then I will get Nokia E66. Or if I can convince myself that the buttons of Sony Ericsson G705 will get seasoned with use, then I'll get that. After all, the G705 is the cheapest of the lot and still meet my requirements of having WiFi!
Anyway... we had a steamboat dinner at my Grandma's place. First time, having steamboat dinner there and we also have the traditional "Lo Hei" after dinner. Should be before dinner but the adults say after dinner then "Lo" then after dinner lor.
Lots of laughter with my sisters and all the other relatives.
Sitting here blogging just drives home the fact that tml is back to work for me. I should not be grumbling, after all, I've had a week long CNY break. Not many are as lucky as me to have such a long break.
Hope that the new work year will be a smooth sailing one!

I thought I was late for class but end up, the tutor was even later and he start late, he end late. Problem is, I don't have the luxury for him to take his own sweet time to start or to end the class.
End up, I was late for the 7pm class too.
Finance was a blur of theories and the formula seemed simple enough but to prove that it works.. wow... that's another thing altogether.
English writing, the tutor seems nice. Except that she herself admitted that she don't give Ace for TMA. =( There goes my hope for a A for the whole module. Usually, TMA is the only time when we can score and get A for exams. If TMA cannot get A, then quite confirm, our overall grade will be pulled down.
As I predicted, I had no time for dinner, luckily, I brought along some snacks and drinks so can still have a light bite and only manage to eat dinner after I reached home at almost 10.15pm.
Really very stressful for my poor brain to sit through 5.5 hours of straight class. And then I feel so guilty for eating late at night. =(
