Tiring Day

I was so excited at going to Ikea, I woke up at 8am!! And finding Hub still soundly in bed, I went back to sleep. =(

Woke up at 9am and Hubby still asleep! hai... so I tried to go back to sleep.. but finally at 9.45am, I can't sleep anymore and woke him up.

He was not very pleased but he was so amused at my excitement that he obliged and woke up.

After getting ready, we headed towards Alexandra Ikea.

First stop. Cafe!

We filled our hungry tummies with meatballs and chicken wings. Relax with coffee and then do our shopping.

Our loots for the day.Tea lights for our daily prayers
White candles for the Easter vigil
Colored candles for the different season of the liturgical calendar.
Pack of batteries
2 pairs of bed room slippers

Took a break at McD and then we headed home to rest before getting ready for our Exodus Dinner at Grassroots Club.

Buffet dinner was so so but it was good to be able to see all our friends who got baptized together in 2005. We did not have much chance to talk much, it was still good to see them. All their children have grown. From babies to now toddlers. From kiddies, they are all in primary school, some already moving to Secondary school while some others, waiting to go Uni! Time really flies!

And these young parents were also too busy chasing after their kiddies to really talk much la. hahahaha... So busy the moment they have kids! I'm doubly glad that we just sit and chat, no need to run after kiddos! =D

Before we left the gathering, each of us got a little souvenir. No idea what it is yet, but it should be something handmade.

Definitely made lovingly! Time really flies. It's aleady the 4th year that we got baptized!

Unveiled. Oh! Bookmarks. Designed and printed by I have no idea who. But really spent lots of effort and energy into these! There were around 60 people there.

4th anniversary. Exodus 2004/2005.

Meaningful verse.I hope I can do what John says.

Back at home, using the colored candles at altar. This is the period of lent, hence the purple candles.

We still have Pink and Red candles. Pink (and Purple) candles can be used for Advent which is sometime near Christmas. Red candles will be feast days.

Now our altar is beginning to get colorful with us trying to reflect the liturgical colors. =)

Rainbow!

A few weeks back, I heard that there was a gorgeous rainbow in the sky after a heavy rain. I remembered that it was a Wednesday but I was in school, hence no chance to see it at all. And the next thing I knew was lots of my friends posted it into the FB.

Hubby and I saw one, after we had dinner at The Prata House after mass.

The rainbow was huge and gorgeous and pretty clear in the sky!!I think there was another one above it (somewhere to the right of the pic) but my hp camera could not capture that.

Such pretty things, these beauties from God.

We walked over to Thomson Plaza and then we had Soya Bean Curd with Glass Jelly from Pin Le.

Soft, smooth and hot is the curd. Not too sweet as well but with the glass jelly then it is.But, it looks quite disgusting with the glass jelly. Reminds me of eating hair.

Not cheap too lo. 1 tub like this is $1.90. But then again, we don't eat it all the time. So it's ok.

*mental note* No more glass jelly with bean curd but I want to try their almond paste. I like almond paste!
