Different smelling sense

I've already forgotten this incident, but this morning, I suddenly remembered and thought I'll do my memory justice and blog about it.

Some weeks back, Taka was having their sale and the Hub and I went.

I showed him the gorgeous Juicy Couture shop at Level 4 and then proceed to drag him to Level 1 to show him the fragrance that I was lemming for.

He took a whiff, made a face and commented that it smells too sweet and a tad familiar. Just that he cannot recall what it reminded him off. But the general comment was, "Not nice." Um.... "not nice" being the polite way of saying.

After putting some distance between the over-enthusiastic SA and us, a few Indian / Myanmar nationalities walked past. The Hub was busy making many other comments, most of which I’ve forgotten now but 1 comment came back to me this morning.

“It reminds me of those scent that they (*eye signals to the group that just walked past) wear!!”

I was incredulous! The scent, granted is sweet, very vanilla maybe and too flowery. But I did like it!

The Hub after making the association, laughed and laughed and laughed. Infected by him, I burst out laughing too.

His final comment?

“Don’t tell people you are my wife if you wear THAT scent out.”

On hindsight, minus the pretty bottle, I honestly don’t really like the scent as much as I did.

Ha!

After this hilarious incident, I know for sure, there is no way that I’m going to get this pretty little thing anymore.

My latest lemming for fragrance is the Pure White Linen Pink Coral (Eau de Parfum Spray) by Estee Lauder. Which, apparently won the Hub’s nose and his approval.

He likes my previous Pure White Linen (L) and current Pleasures (R) both fragrances from Estee. Think his nose quite atas, Estee.

I think I shall keep it safe and stick to Estee… else I may honestly be given the ultimatum and really have to declare to people “nah… I’m not his wife.”

Super Duper Good Answer!

Husbands, please learn!

A husband wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table.

He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotless, clean. So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table.

'Honey, breakfast is on the table, I left early to go grocery shopping. Love You!'

Totally shocked with the note , he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating.

He asks, 'Son, what happened last night?' His son says, 'Well, you came home around 3 AM, drunk and delirious. Broke some crockery, puked in the hall, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door'.

Confused, the man asks, 'So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me? I should expect a big quarrel with her!'

His son replies, 'Oh, that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your clothes n shoes off, you said,

'LADY LEAVE ME ALONE! I'M MARRIED!'

Moral: Self-induced hangover - $400.00
Broken crockery - $800.00
Breakfast - $10.00
Saying the Right Thing While Drunk? 'PRICELESS!!'

There are truly some things that both money and Mastercard can't buy.

Happy Little Boy during Post Christmas Shopping

Hubby was lucky enough to have won for himself a $100 Isetan Voucher from his company dinner last week. The Isetan Private Sale was yesterday.

Put the 2 together and it's a no wonder that we would have gone to Isetan to make use of his vouchers, on no other day than yesterday.

And so we did. Only thing is, I don't have the Isetan Card, so before that I have to go and beg, steal, borrow a card first. Thank God, Jeannie loan me her card since she's only coming down after work and we are there in the day. No clash of conflicts. =)

1 of the presents that Hubby received this year was a tie and tie pin set that Jeff, Emma and myself chip in to get for him.The first thing that came to his mind was, "WAH! The tie so colorful" and the next was "I don't have any shirt to match the tie!" -_-"

Hence, while at Isetan, the most heard phrase from Hubby to me was, "Do you think this shirt can match that tie?"

I though the tie was a very simple blue and white, granted the motifs can be slightly louder than what he normally wears, but I thought Pure Whites, Blues, Blacks can match the tie easily! Maybe even some stripes can do it too.

Well, being the highly excitable boy he is, he bought 3 shirts and the moment he came home, he did this. See! I knew Whites and Blues will work well. The black is multi colored strip so won't go too well but from far and for the fun of it, he matched it too.

Looks very normal to me, I thought. Mens' clothings are so standard. Shirt, Tie and pants lor. What else to expect rather than stripes, checks and or various ties? Anyway, in addition to the shirts, he gotten himself a pair of pants too.

This is one of those rare times where Hubby bought so much in one sitting. But this is also to be expected since he has $100 voucher to spend plus there were further discounts for some of the pieces! I thought it was a very good deal. Especially, in total, for the 3 shirts and a pair of pants, he only topped up like $40 or less lor.

So, the happy boy has got 4 new shirts (we got one a few days earlier while we were in Robinsons) and a pair of pants. He has also happily cut away all the tags and labels, folded everything neatly into a bag too.

I guess the only thing left is now for me to rinse everything for the boy so that he can wear it after ironing.

Took a coffee break at Paragon when we met up with Cindy and Dennis. She's looking a bit pale but other than that, she's quite well. Jia You Cindy!

Had dinner at Pepper's Lunch in Taka after another final round of shopping in Isetan Wisma and on a separate note hor, I bought absolutely NOTHING for myself despite the whole day of shopping lei. All I got was just a tunic / dress (tunic if on me, dress on Godma) for her as her Christmas Present.

Managed to persuade Hubby to get a bar of Royce Chocolates... need to persuade cause, he's not well and not supposed to eat. But if I buy the temptation is there. But, he gave in too after I said I'll save half bar for him.... but I think I shall be a cheat and eat more than half! hahahahahahahaha....

Like this also can?

Had dinner with Hubby last night at AMK Hub and hubby mentioned that one of his colleague is celebrating her 21st Birthday this weekend and was thinking to get her a present.

So we walked around lor.

And in 1 of the shops, something caught my eyes. Sorry for the super blur photo. Taken from my hp and I very scared the SA scold me, so quickly take.. anyway, the message reads "Couple Keychain @ $4.90 each."

I wanted to buy keychains cos the one we had spoilt! So I've been searching for a nice couple keychain for a pretty long time too...

So, I was browsing thru lor... and I saw this!!!Like this also can?! Saw the word behind? "Wedding" So means 2 females also can get married?

I know this is nothing to be alarm about la. Probably an accident... But it kind of tickle me lor... hee..

I saw 2 designs that I quite like. Asked hubby if he's willing to use such a cute key chain... He took one look at it, "PINK?!" Eager to please him, I told him "then u take the blue lor. =)" He grudgingly say ok... So the very happy me began choosing.

But after a while, even after we've selected the exact piece, I still feel that I like the another pair better but that pair don't have BLUE la!! *earthquake* And I know hubby will definitely not take the pink... Desperate, I went to ask the SA, got blue?

Thank God, it's only out of stock, but can order. =D So ok, left my name and contact there and made a reservation for that pair. =)

Will take a pic after I get it! =D

夫妻相

I don't know why but everytime, I hear someone says that hubby and I have 夫妻相 (husband & wife look, translated directly), I'm very happy and pleased with that.

This morning, Sasa told me via msn that she finds that hubby and I have the couple look (after meeting hubby for the first time last Friday during the BBQ) and it totally made my day! Till now, I'm still basking and glowing from that compliment. =)

Yar, I take it as a compliment. Not sure if others will.. but, I guess, since the both of us have already together with each other (inclusive of pak tor days) for almost 91/2 years, so our looks have sort of grown onto each other?

Kind of cute lei. I like that.

One look or glance and you can see that this woman and this man are a couple. I think that's cool and heart warming.

I feel, if we have each other looks / features, that will make us treasure each other's looks more? Since, I've yet to find anyone who does not like his / her own face! =P

Hubby and I have watched this clip for at least 10 times and I can already memorize what what the cutie pie said, Word-for-Word.

Gosh... I wanna STEAL her!!!

Thank you or not?

Er...... Thank you for all the concern that you all showered on me after reading about my fall hor.

That is if you all din laugh yourselves silly after reading my first thought lor.

*sheepish*

But that was really my first thought when I attempt to climb up ma.

And I forgot to add that, hubby, when he found out I had a fall, he laughed himself silly! Laughed till there were tears in his eyes! And he almost cannot straighten up when I told him at the bus stop while waiting for our bus to come.

And yes, it still hurts NOW!

According to what I see from the mirror, heng! there is no blue black! But, I got a few laughs from my friends who frequent my blog(s) and I think my post manage to cheer them up slightly from the mundane daily life and YES! They think I am BB crazed.

Help! Help!!

Sunday, December 10

OUCH! My bum bum hurts!

I slipped and fell right smack on my bum bum yesterday morning. =(

Till now my right bum still hurts.

Went to Thomson for dim sum breakfast with Wise and Clement after yoga and I had a registered mail at the Thomson branch post office, I had to go and collect it. But hor, it was raining and getting heavier by the minute, I made a dash for it.

All was fine till I reached the doorstep of the post office...

The moment my right feet touched the tiled door step of the post office, weeeezzzzzzzzzz.... I slipped and landed on my butt.

Boy, it was sooooo embrassing ok! There were so many people queuing inside! And you know what's my first thought?!

"Thank GOD, I'm not pregnant."

-_-"

I think some part of my brain is not working very well. I should be thinking things like, I don't know... "the fall not that hard?" or "which part of me is injured?" or "how many people saw me?" BUT!!! I did not think any of these!!

Gosh... some deep buried part of myself must be BB crazy at this moment in time.

When you become "atas", you get...

Remember I was saying hubby went for some wine tasting thingy organised by "Wine Asset Management" few nights ago?

Hubby reached home at about 10.20pm or so, while I was dozing on the sofa and kinda watching "My Lovely Samsoon" on TV. I got quite a scare coz suddenly, I heard "Dear, open the door!" and a shadow drifting from window to window. Quickly I jumped up from my comfy sofa and then opened the door and saw hubby holding all these. Of course not in this kinda position but he was holding the bottle of wine in his left hand and the 3 mini glasses in his right, hence no hands to open door.

I was still half asleep but hubby in his excitement went on about the evening. And the whole story came out. The bottle of wine is a lucky draw price that Darling got! =) the 3 mini wine glass (not very good quality, when you cling it, don't have the ringing sound, not much anyway) and you know what? The lucky draw prize is that Shriaz wine.. yucks.. not nice to drink wan. But then it's free wine, so take lor, and from what we manage to find out, the bottle of wine costs $33 USD wor.

Hubby also said that the ppl who turned up for the wine tasting is all "atas" people. Now I'm wondering if Hubby also become more "atas" now? haha..

Look what's hanging...

I have a surprise hanging from the tree outside my bedroom window for at least 2 or 3 weeks!

I was surprised that those Bangala workers working at the soon-to-be-errected shelters did not actually use some kind of means to bring it down and claim it as theirs all these while. Can see what it is not? It's actually a pair of bermudas lar. I don't know who lost it, but must be 1 of my neighbours lor. Cannot be next block neighbours and then it get blown and stuck on a tree right?! A wet pair of bermudas I think too heavy to be blown away. And very sure, it's not hubby's nor mine!

And since it was there for sooo long, the next thing that came to my mind was coz, someone had actually install a pin-hole-camera and then threw it into the tree? Well, it's facing a room mar, OUR bedroom, so we undress and erm.. also.. erm.. have our intimate moments in the bedroom right? What if there is a pin-hole in the pair of shorts and then all our actions get filmed?!

Oh NO! Oh NO!!

So scary right? The thought of it makes me shudder liao. I was thinking if there is any possible way for us to like use a bamboo pole to poke the pants onto the ground? And recently, hubby pointed out to me that the pants seem to be coming nearer and nearer to our window, coz the branches are growing, the tree seems to be nearer too! SO how??!

While I was imaging all sorts of pin-hole-camera related stories, emails, case studies, examples... hubby commented, "I think you are thinking too much and being a perfect paranoid."

Humph!!

Million Dollar Dream

WOW. 3 Million Dollars.... Hahahaha.

I must still be dreaming, yeah I am dreaming. But this dream seem so real that I could not sleep this morning. 6 o'clock in the morning I was waken up by the motor noise below my house. Then I start to think about how and I going to work toward this 3 Million Dollars. I was thinking so hard that I could not sleep anymore. It was only about a hour away from my usual time. So I decided to go for a morning run. The last time I run was last Wednesday. I must keep up with my running routine, so even before the sky trun bright, I was out in the park running. There are so many people there, but most of them were old people. My Darling was still on the bed when I finish the run. Haha. So this time I get to tell her to hurry up. Hahahaha. But I think I rush her too much that she forget to bring her handphone after I locked the gate and scolded me. Things are so funny, when I was slow, I was being scolded for being slow. Today I was fast, still I was being scolded for being too rush :( So I told my Darling weather I was slow or fast her face is always the same. like this --> :( Hahahaha. Though she scold me, she is still my Darling. :)

For the first time...

I have been having this wish that hubby and me will wear the same design of tops when we go out for a long long time.

And over the years of pak tor with each other, we have been tyring to find either the same T-shirt or something but we just cannot find 1 that is suitable for the both of us. So over the years, I gave up trying to find what is called "lover's shirt" It's not the same as taking 2 same coloured T-shirt and wearing it together as compared to wearing a couple's shirts.

But I have also come to this conclusion. That is, we are simply not suitable to wear something like that, so now, when hubby and me happen to wear the same colour out it's just concidence lor. I mean, we were not staying together before marriage so I won't know what he was wearing for that day till I see him.

But over my recent trip to KL, I bought so many T-shirts for myself, and a few for hubby, it also nv occur to me that I can buy something for us in "His" and "Hers" design. Only till, I happen to see Trina took a photo of her own T-shirt and Kel's T-shirt that she bought then it suddenly strike me. HEY!! I bought something that can match each other very well. Like this. our very own 'His' & 'Hers'Hahah... Seriously! I think I was too disappointed over the years that's y never even notice that these 2 make up a set. Haha.. I think the photo that Trina took is similiar to this, coz I remember thinking, wow, Kel's shirt so big and Trina's shirt looked so tiny besides his. =)

So on Sunday, I made hubby wear this to church for mass. first time wearing something together Do we look compatiable? Our friends who saw us says we are soo 'coorinated' haha.. I'm quite happy leh. Haha.. I know this is pretty silly la, but still I'm happy and tat's all it matters right?

The truth about weddings ( Just for laugh)

Saw this from the Newpaper. So funny... Hahahaha...

White wedding

A boy at a wedding looks at his mum and says: 'Mummy, why does the girl wear white?'

His mum replies: 'The bride is in white because she's happy and this is the happiest day of her life.'

The boy thinks about this, and says: 'Well then, why is the boy wearing black?'

Like father, like husband?
If it's true that women are inclined to marry men like their fathers, it is understandable why so many mothers cry so much at weddings.

A sudden change of mind

My dearest Susan,
Sweetie of my heart. I've been so desolate ever since I broke off our engagement. Simply devastated.

Won't you please consider coming back to me? You hold a place in my heart no other woman can fill. I can never marry another woman quite like you. I need you so much.

Won't you forgive me and let us make a new beginning? I love you so.

Yours always and truly, John.
PS: Congratulations on your winning the lottery.

Wedding bands on the 4th finger.

I came across this in a email this morning.. and it immediately remind me of this verse.

No human being must sepatate, then, what God has joined together. ~Mark 10:9~

How to separate?

1. Put your fingers as shown on the picture.

2. Try to separate your thumbs. Thumb represent parent, they will leave you someday, hence the thumbs can separated.

3. Close your thumbs and try to separate your index fingers. Index fingers represent siblings, they will leave you someday when they have their own family, hence index fingers can separated.

4. Close your index fingers and try to separate your little fingers. Little fingers represent children, they will leave you someday when they have grown up, hence little fingers can separated.

5. Now close your little fingers and try to separate your fourth fingers. You will realize that you cannot separate the, because they represent the marriage of husband and wife.

Then how about middle finger? Well, in palmistry, thumb represent parents, index finger represent siblings, middle finger represent yourself, fourth finger represent spouse and last finger represent children.

Not that I believe palmistry but I'm just thinking that when God created us, mankind, He created us this way and it's almost impossible for us to separate our 4th fingers and it's just like a "mother nature" thingy which cannot be explained. So doesn't it make the vows that the married couples take even more "unbreakable"?

No matter is it palmistry or what, it's also another romantic thought (in addition to the ever famous that, there is a vein that runs from our 4th finger straight to the heart) that by such a simple gesture, it magnifest the vows that we took.
