Just after I've prepared breakfast (steamed ba chang, packed into containers to be brought to office for both hub and I) and was walking back to our bedroom, I caught a sudden movement out of the corner of my eye.
Did a quick turn to the direction and I saw a lizard, happily climbing and sticking on the door of the storeroom.
I was going to ignore it and go into the room.. then I remembered the hub is scared of lizards. So no choice, I got to get rid of that offending creature.
Backtracked, armed myself with newspapers and went back to the corner.
BAM!!
I missed. That lizard merely crawled to the other door.
Taking more accurate aim, I tried again.
I think that lizard is damn smart lor! It knew I'm going to do some horrible things to it.
It JUMPED at me!! Literally JUMPED from the door onto MY direction!
liewss.... I got a scared! Honestly, I did.
Luckily, it landed in front of me, not ON me. I would seriously have given a ear piercing scream that will wake the whole neigbhourbood.
With the lizard on the floor now, I chased it with my newspaper. That thing is sure clever! It went on to play hide-and-seek at the door hinge with me!
*ARGH*
I was pissed lei. Early morning, I'm in a mad rush and still got to 'entertain' this thing.
Finally....
WHAAAAAACK!!!
I gave its hind legs and tail a good whack. The tail was still moving but the lizard seem concused.
And I guess, to end its misery, I gave its head a good whack too.
And it's gone.
The hub woke up admist all the whacking and when I narrated to him that lizard almost jumping onto me, he laughed!
The hub refuse to even clear the body. I still have to do it.
Luckily, I am not squirmish about house lizards.
HEH!
The official lizard whacker at home clearing the home of these offending creatures and he laughs! Had I known of his reaction, I think I should just let the lizard roam.
But on the other hand, the hub is the official cockroach whacker... I guess, we each have our roles to play after all....
Does the word "co-operation" comes to mind?
hmmmmmmm......
