You? Me? Them? It?

A few weekends back, hubby and I decided to stop for coffee at Gloria Jeans in Marina Square.

And it was a terribly terribly bad mistake!

I had Baby roach in my drink!!!!

And not just that, when I brought the drink back to the counter.

The staff there, took 1 look, TURNED around and ignored me!

Then I raised my voice a little louder, she went to get her colleague.

That other colleague, took a look. IGNORED me and went on with his work.

At this point in time, I was fuming mad.

TMD. I'm served unclean food and NOT even a single word of apology?! And 2 staff turned their back on me still without apologizing?!

The 2nd guy had the cheek to even give me a dirty look before asking if I want a new drink or a full refund.

I opted for the full refund and left the place very angrily.

A few days later, I sent in a complaint email to GJ.

I got a reply. Saying that they are very sorry and what nots. And they offered me vouchers in return for my unpleasant trip. 2 x 1-for-1 drinks and a $10 voucher. And that they take very strict actions for their hygience and service etc etc.

So fast forward to last Sat.

With the vouchers in hand and nothing much for us to do after dinner and walking around, we headed to Raffles City, GJ.

So, I asked the cashier, can I use the 1-for-1 and the $10 voucher together. She looked at me blankly and TURNED away without saying anything.

Apparently, she went to ask another colleague what I asked her.

She came back and say "No, cannot."

So ok, I asked if I pay separately then oK? She again turned away and went to her colleague without saying anything.

I was pissed and I commented to her, "Can you just get someone who can understand English to talk to me?!"

Hubby just kept quiet the whole time. After the hoo-ha and all, we got our orders sat down. Hubby chided me saying, why must I be so aggressive to these poor front liners? It's not their fault blah blah blah.

I retorted with, "All these places, MS and City Hall, we have lots of tourists, why put ppl who cannot understand simple English at the front line?!" and not to mention "Such lousy service!!!"

I was ignored whenever I asked a question. This is unacceptable! Granted, the front liners may not know every single thing. She/He is of course entitled to go and ask.

But what happened to basic manners? I am a customer standing right in front of you, if you don't know, you can ignore me and turn away? Aren't you supposed to at least tell me, you are not sure but u go find out?! What is this turning away?!

Damn. So angry with the lousy food (did I mention that the coffee at GJ sucks big time?), even more lousy service and to top it all off, got into a tiff with hubby over it.

Pissed.

Super. pissed. off.

I totally condemn Gloria Jeans. My dear ppl, DON'T EVER EVER GO THERE!!!!
